I'm going to college for 911 communications. I'm very nervous about the job, but I want to help people with anything I can. Does anyone have any tips on how to stay calm? Will I learn this kind of thing in college? I know i will learn what to do, but I mean like do they tell you how to react to certain situations.
Most places will hire with a minimum of a high school diploma, at the minimum age of 18, otherwise a bachelor's or an associate's degree may be preferred in Criminal Justice, Communications, or Computer Science.

You cannot be taught how to react. You need to learn by actually doing the job. Being prepared is the best thing you can do.

Stress management. I did it for 12 years you have to be patient calm and not take the job home with you.
