Ok so I want to clarify the icelandic and english versions of the songs and such. In Iceland we have a rule that the song in Söngvakeppnin needs to be in Icelandic. The ones that have 2 versions are made for English and will be competing in English if they go to Eurovision. There is only 1 song this year that would be in Icelandic if it goes to Eurovision. This is also why the songs feel a bit outdated, because in the other countries it's easy for songwriters from other countries to help with the songs, while in Iceland they have to have a icelandic version of it that works for the icelandic competition. Just a wanted to explain it a bit. Doomsday dancing is the only one that stands out for me this year, but I'm not predicting high scores for Iceland this year regardless of what song goes. Feels like we're never gonna win Eurovision at this point xD the closest we had at a shot of winning was 2020 and the damn competition got cancelled xD haha. But like you said, let's look at the live versions cause that can be a game changer ;)
I’ve been listening to Doomsday Dancing so much over the past week it’s my current obsession! 😂 So I hope I won’t be let down 😂 The only other one that stands out I think is Dilja!
