That's just the beginning of the dhruvalution. His turning is insane, and I'm sure he will get a WR average in the not-so-distant future. PS Eidos are oo for OH.
One of the funniest things in cubing history is that way back when CFOP was mostly called Friedrich and Roux and Petrus were seen as the valid alternatives, new solvers were specifically told that Roux shouldn't be used for OH due to all the M moves so not to choose it if OH was of any interest at all. But accepting heavy, blatant table abuse ironically turned it into a promising OH method to note for its lower move count. It still feels weird seeing Roux praised in an OH context as if it's its time to shine when this was once seen as its Achilles' heel specifically.
Roux is Still Ontop what are on about. WR avg. (The most important) Record still stands. And next month Sean and Fahmi (the Fastest Roux solvers) are competing
The funniest thing is that Dhruva doesn't really care much about getting wr single 💀. Also for the U2 in third slot and in the fat sune he did a "dhruva U2" or a stronk U2 where you flick hard to do a U2. Dhruva is still improving his turning and I think he's going to learn ZBLL soon so it is truly dsm vs roux.
In principle you could do OH faster by using a special cube with a 2x2x2 core and floating pieces for the centers and edges which would allow you to flick the center slices without having to use the table
STU cube I have a thing to tell you I got a single on the app cube that is so fast that I don’t think I can even beat it in the future and that single placed me forth in the world. I don’t record the solve because I did it while in my dad’s car but I was shocked about that.
It's actually crazy that there's nothing at all special about this scramble besides yee old trusty PLL skip. Imagine what this man will do with a nearly-full 2gen f2l and some last layer luck! Looking forward to more dhruvalution in the future
@@SerKubos It is expected for OH to have a greater difference between single and average because of slower turning and a low move count solution which is likely the case for most WR single helps a lot
A wise man once said "Methods don't have speeds". I personally think that Roux is better than CFOP, even for two handed, but it's no surprise that the record was taken back by CFOP. The method used, just like hardware, is ultimately of significantly less importance than the cuber.
I’m also coaching him/teaching him zbll. + he doesn’t pick the best pairs when doing solutions, with 8 TPS he can average 7 or even 6 if efficient enough.

imagine if he learns full zbll and starts controlling good edges better so he has to do less rotations, skibidi has so much potential
To control edges he needs to do different insertions like sledge hammer and so, which I don't think fits his really heavy use of RU gen
