, Too true. Honestly, they can try, but when Jo watched the stage show and thought she'd see Alan when Snape turned around, it shows how much of an impact he left on that role. I honestly don't know who they'll try to get to fit it. Nevertheless, it needs to be someone who understands dry humour.
Chris Columbus has always had a reputation for being great with child actors. It’s one of the main reasons he was selected to direct the first two films, and a great choice too!
@@zaryalace7475first two movies literally *feel* magical. There really was something special that with the change in directors. And I say this with Azkaban being my favorite film in the series.
That JK told him the full character arch is all that got him into the movie, and you're right, he was just reciting dialogue written for him, but he was the character. The only thing we never got was Alan's sense of humor, but that wouldn't work, he just said "OK I teach potions, am a spy, and let's go" and he put himself on screen, and it would never work any other way.
@@Sophie-vw5ol My comment was from 5 months ago so to be completely honest, I forgot who. I think I might have been thinking Keanu Reeves? That feels incorrect though.
I love this moment in the movie when Snape comes up to the trio and says, "Good afternoon. When you see this movie, you're not going to see all of these huge mechanics and the months of editing." Such a truly thought-provoking scene.
The movie is so focused on the kids that you sometimes ignore the A-list cast around them in every film. Personally, I think it's the strength of the A-list that makes the early films bearable since the kids acting was only tolerable. The kids were very lucky to have been influenced by such amazing actors so early in their careers to hone their talents.
I Always loved Alain In whatever he was in Harry Potter the . Pieces/ & the perfect. Villain played against Bruce Willis. Such a gorgeous man. What a beautiful soul he had. I truly miss him so much
I will always love Severus Snapes. Thanks to the great talent of Alan Rickman. I'm 44 years old now but I am still watching Harry Potter because of Severus Snapes. Snapes will always have a special place in my heart.
I so dearly love this beautiful, brilliant, noble, iconic man, because he carries himself with such dignity, nobility, honor, & grace. I literally cried over a week after hearing he had died. My heart broke…
First and foremost, after seeing the movies it's almost impossible to imagine anyone else playing many of the roles in the Harry Potter franchise but to Alan Rickman's credit he made his portrayal of Snape stand out even in a film loaded with iconic actors and actresses ... Second I've always loved how the story of the filming of the Harry Potter movies was essentially film icons teaching younger boys and girls how to act you stop and really think about how much knowledge these much older actors and actresses had to give these much younger actors and actresses and it's funny to think that they essentially had a acting school where the main project was a movie about a school
He's the movie series own snape, maybe in the show they'll portray him closer to the character from books, but judging from the shows and movies from this age they probably won't bother to make the show least bit watchable
@@stephanievazquez4384apparently it’s being produced by HBO so I’m hoping they cast as close to canon as possible and make it really close to the original story and more grown up, more so than most other “woke” companies would do nowadays

He was so talented. The world misses actors like Alan. His voice is so soft and tranquilizing I think. I could hear him talking or reading for hours. Best thing ever - "Rupert don't smile"
Yea he’s so cute
"hours of wasted footage because Rupert kept laughing" - Tom Felton
One thing he can't do.
Sorry... Sorry.. sorry ❤😂
You can tell he’s had to say that about 200 times
Only Alan could portray Snape. He was such a great Actor! He is greatly missed. RIP Alan!

Love how Rupert always smiles, so they actually HAVE TO TELL him not to smile.
AWWW😮😮
Now that you've mentioned it, it sounded like a crime for them to prevent it. Only that, it's a must in their HP films 😂
Rickman didn’t act Snape .. Snape IS Rickman. One of the best actors I have ever seen.

Control your emotions ,Discipline your Mind

I wish we could've seen more of Alan as snape. Some people are just born to play a character and snape was definitely his.
Hopefully they portray a teenage snape in other movies/shows coming up.
Hans Gruber?

Just imagining him saying that and the look of confusion on the kids faces lol

An utter legend, such a soft warm voice. Handsome guy and an amazing actor
That voice! His delivery was perfect.
He was perfect.. Miss him
Patrick Stewart was born to be Captain Picard, and Professor X, RDJ was meant to be Tony Stark. Alan Rickman was Snape.
This is one of the most perfect movie casts I’ve ever seen.
