I visited Koyasan in 1978 while accompanying Japanese zenmaster TAISEN DESHIMARU on a three months long trip through Japan which I wrote about in a 7 parts series ("Encounters with buddhism",/ESOTERA). We had a great time at Koyasan ,wonderful food and a good sleep on a Futon. Everybody l o v e d Deshimaru..he literally lit up the faces of everyone like the sun when entering the room.
Such a beautiful country and true Buddhist Monks and Buddhist people here. So amazing Buddhist Viharas and tallest 🌲 trees and good weather in Japan.🇮🇳🙏🙏🌺😘 I am indian Buddhist.
You are a Navayani, Ambedkartie and not a Buddhist. Navayanis and Ambedkarites are not Buddhists. You don't adhere by the Four Noble Truths or the Chatvaryarasatyani. You don't follow the sutras or dharanis or mantras but instead follow Bhim Rao's book, Buddha and his Dhamma. You guys believe Ambedkar to be divine and Maitreya Buddha himself. Sorry to say but Navayanis do nothing but spread hate and say intolerant things about all other religions including Hinduism, Christianity, Islam as well as Mahayana Buddhism. Nobody in the Buddhist community accepts Navayanis as Buddhists.
As a Tibetan Buddhist practitioner, it's very interesting to see the same exact vajra used in all our rituals and practices also in Shingon. The vajra doesn't really get featured much in other Buddhist cultures of Asia. Also while the renderings of the Boddhisatva and deities are slightly different, the names and positions are familiar. Thank you for this wonderful video.
It's literally spread by the same people who developed Vajrayan in the first place, namely the Tantric Buddhist scholars and practitioners from India, mainly the eastern states of Bengal,Bihar,Assam,Tripura,Orissa,Nepal and also South Indian states of Tamil Nadu. So it should not come as so much of a surprise to anyone who has little to some knowledge of the origins of Vajrayan. Not only is the symbol of Vajra is the same, but most deities will also be the same as Tibetan Buddhism. As a Bengali myself, the oldest Bengali literature is the Charyapada, which is a collection of Vajrayan Buddhist poems which forms the core of what is now Vajrayan Buddhism Philosophy.

The "core" of vajrayana is definitely not some poem but wisdom and compassion/skillful means. There are no surviving texts in India as Buddhism is basically vanished from India, all that remains is some misunderstood belief that it all came from vedas while a careful study of Buddhism contradicts almost everything the vedas and later upanishads teach.

So yeah, the core of "tantric" Buddhism is developed by eastern Indian Buddhist scholars and not by Buddha or the older Buddhist schoalars. And no, tantricism is by definition not part of "vedic" tradition. Buddhism by definition is distinctly different from the Vedic tradition just as Jainism is and to be honest so is the Bhakti tradition which is part of Hinduism itself. But these are quite clearly later addition. There's no way to actually prove that it was the Buddha who spoke the concepts of Pragyaparamita or not. Pragyaparamita is not even important in Theravada traditions (I am not sure about this as my knowledge in Theravada is not up to the marks). For historians, it is clearly a later concept that was developed by Buddhist scholars (who btw are again from all over the states of India where Buddhism thrived and the Mahaviharas and universities were situated).

I have been considering to become a monk the last few years , is it possible to be a monk at this temple. I have studied a lot of the traditions and done meditation, when I saw this video I just seemed to get drawn right into it, very mystical I cant explain, I almost feel like flying out on the next plane.

In my opinion, even as a Mahayanist follower of Chinese Chan, I'd recommend Maurice Walshe's translation of the Long Discourses of the Buddha. It lays out all the basic concepts and is more friendly towards a lay audience unfamiliar with Buddhism.
Depends. If you're interested in the Buddhism as depicted in this video, Tibbetan Vajrayana Buddhism, and/or Pure land Buddhism might interest you. Sadly, in the western world filled with arrogance, they have decided to deprive Buddhism of its esoteric principles, even coming to the point of "modern secularist Buddhism" which has got nothing to do with Dharma teachings.
It is pronounced "VairoCHana". The original Romanization of the sanskrit word had a dot above the upper diagonal in the K. Removing this suggests the pronunciation is, incorrectly, a hard K. Well, the same notation was used in the early Romanization of Chinese to English. If you add the dot, then the proper pronunciation is "Peiching" ("Pay-CHING"), not "Peiking" ("Pee-KING"), "Beizhing", or "Beijing". Ahhh, the joys of screwing up language...
An old story speaks of a similar problem. A devoted meditator, after years concentrating on a particular mantra, had attained enough insight to begin teaching. The student's humility was far from perfect, but the teachers at the monastery were not worried. A few years of successful teaching left the meditator with no thoughts about learning from anyone; but upon hearing about a famous hermit living nearby, the opportunity was too exciting to be passed up. The hermit lived alone on an island in the middle of a lake, so the meditator hired a man with a boat to row across to the island. The meditator was very respectful of the old hermit. As they shared some tea made with herbs the meditator asked him about his spiritual practice. The old man said he had no spiritual practice, except for a mantra, which he repeated all the time to himself. The meditator was pleased: the hermit was using the same mantra he used himself -- but when the hermit spoke the mantra aloud, the meditator was horrified! "What's wrong?" asked the hermit. "I don't know what to say. I'm afraid you've wasted your whole life! You are pronouncing the mantra incorrectly!" "Oh, Dear! That is terrible. How should I say it?" The meditator gave the correct pronunciation, and the old hermit was very grateful, asking to be left alone so he could get started right away. On the way back across the lake the meditator, now confirmed as an accomplished teacher, was pondering the sad fate of the hermit. "It's so fortunate that I came along. At least he will have a little time to practice correctly before he dies." Just then, the meditator noticed that the boatman was looking quite shocked, and turned to see the hermit standing respectfully on the water, next to the boat. "Excuse me, please. I hate to bother you, but I've forgotten the correct pronunciation again. Would you please repeat it for me?" "You obviously don't need it," stammered the meditator; but the old man persisted in his polite request until the meditator relented and told him again the way he thought the mantra should be pronounced. The old hermit was saying the mantra very carefully, slowly, over and over, as he walked across the surface of the water back to the island.

There are many who would do it happily for free (me included) as there are literally millions of speakers like that and that's not counting the substantial amount of students who study Sanskrit at the University level in India.
