Oh you like the Yellow Balloon? I have a few of their 45s, never have listened to the whole album. I have one Don Grady of "My Three Sons" fame 45. I think it pre-dates him joining Yellow Balloon. I need to wimp out for awhile and listen to the album.
Cool Racket Squad record! I’ll have to look for that, their first album is pretty good I found that Ivory record a while ago but wasn’t as exited as you lol Take care Brian ☮️
There is a Vol. 2 of that Mummies series. I used to have all their records, including "Party At Steve's House," but "Never Been Caught" is by far their best.
Caught a Crucifucks show at the Satyricon in Portland Oregon back in the day. I had never heard of the band but their name on the marquee made me laugh so I went. Crazy days! Thanks for the memory. I think I still have Wisconsin in my collection.
Nice t-shirt. Like you, I had heard of the Crucifucks, but never heard their stuff. I'm sure Joaquim is all over them. I have that Mummies comp & Never Been Caught. I haven't seen Yellow Balloon & The Orient Express over here until they both were recently reissued. Good records. Mazzy should chip in to finance your box set collecting. He's seems to be doing alright.
The things you've picked up this year are nothing like the things I've picked up. I haven't managed to clear my in box this year so I'll struggle to do a roundup before new year.
I remember playing Wisconsin at a house party, and there was a trainee opera singer there. She listened for a while and then said: "Nobody who isn't a fantastic singer could be that evenly off key."
Richie, I’m like you. Retired and no money. I don’t do RSD. I’m too old, too lazy and too broke. So no new releases either unless I get some mad money or its my birthday or Christmas. :). Cheers
Say Pat. First off Merry Christmas to you and the Family kid, all the best. I remember that Hobbits album but not the music it's been that long since I heard any of it. Same as the Yellow Balloon. Cheers.
The Ivory album has it's moments. Vocally though, to me anyway, the singer has a kinda Slick/Joplin vibe to it, but too much Joplin for my ears. The Markley album could've been a WCPAEB album as they all appear on it. Apparently Markley had an eye for the younger girls, if ya know what I mean😉, which, I believe, got him into a little trouble with the boys in blue. The album's posted on RUclips.
There actually is a kid singing on the chorus of "Tear It Out"! It's my 10-year old niece!
@@louiegolden Turns out my wife has a good ear for music.
She sings better than you

I've really scaled down my vinyl purchases too. I love Ryan's album. I chose the limited black vinyl. Take care.
Very entertaining! "Verging on Partridge Family," made me laugh. Damn, you have a hell of a collection. Always learn something new.
Love the Byrds Ritchie ! Nice find🎄
Nice finds of punk and 60s. At you saved the best for the last - Ryan. He knows how to rock!
This might be your best thumbnail ever. Pretty awesome finds!

Do you have the Yellow Balloon single where the b-side is the a-side played backwards.
@@vinylrichie007 Yes, It's NOOLLAB WOLLEY. Yellow balloon backwards.
Cool used pick ups of the year and The Ivory's is another for my want list.
Excellent finds Ritchie, more bands to discover for sure. I never see these in the wild around here for sure

Crucifucks are definitely overlooked I Wisconsin it’s great as well. I’ll have to check out Total Hell.

Always a great bunch of records.
You can never show the Byrds too much. Love the Yellow Ballon single. The B side was the same song backward. Never heard the aLBUM.
Hi Richie
Cool Albums .Like you I dig Ska!Oh no Don't start sounding like Kamala! he hee! Cool albumbs. Thumbs up! Merry Christmas. Trish
On the radio show and early 90s MRR was calling it NOFI 😅😅
NoFi is a perfect description. I’m using that in my video I’m doing with Mazzy.
Hey Richie. The Racket Squad sounds good. Gonna have to look that one up, same with Ivory. Love the WCPAEB, that’s a great album of theirs. Cheers
"A compilation of ... ska!" 🙂Fabulous records, even the ones I don't know!

Rich did you receive the Redd Cross book?
How did you keep those Mummies albums under wraps?
Hey! I love The Mummies, but I rarely find I'm in the right mood for scuzzy retro garage punk. I'm not sure what that says about me?
That you're not in the mood for scuzzy garage rock?
@ST-xg3gy I think you might be onto something.

I guess I assured you of alot of things

Norm I noticed you were doing black and white th-nails lately
Was the new Andre 3000 record on anyone's top 23' list?😎
@@ST-xg3gy Thanks. Your comment alerted me to the fact I wrote 2023. I meant 2024.
Getting rid of your 7”s you say…how about that NA, I know a guy who’d be interested! 😅
I’ve always read ‘Skatalites’ as ‘Ska-talities’. Oops.
You realize, you actually used the word whimsical in describing an album? 😂
