What is it with tent zippers? They just don’t seem to last long.

They really don't. Ultimately we got them fixed at an alterations place in Portland but I'll touch on in field gear repair and zipper replacement/failure in a future video. I can't remember if I mentioned getting them fixed in a video or not.
