Hate to tell you but halfway through writing Fur Elise, he found out Elise was actually already engaged to someone else, so out of spite he made the end of the song so difficult Elise would never manage to learn to play it.
@@whyitsnoneofyourbusiness3607 yeah this is pretty well documented. she was not a very skilled pianist, that's why the begining of the piece is so easy to play. And there's a pretty sharp turn in it when it becomes kind of hard to play all of a sudden :D
@@flatblack7406 Elisabeth Roeckel, known to her friends as Elise, was the younger sister of Joseph Roeckel, a singer who performed in Beethoven’s opera Fidelio. She wrote letters documenting her flirtatious relationship with the composer when she was younger, and remained close to him until his death in 1827. The woman most people believe to be Elise, however, has long been Austrian singer and performer Therese Malfatti. It’s thought that Beethoven proposed to Malfatti around 1810, and she either rejected him outright or accepted and changed her mind shortly thereafter. If that’s the case, why would it be named “Für Elise” instead of “Für Therese”? The argument is that it was "Für Therese"-and somewhere over the years, the name was mistranslated. Another fact working in Malfatti’s favor: The original manuscript in Beethoven’s hand was found in her possessions after her death, apparently labeled “Für Therese.” It has since gone missing, resulting in a classical music mystery for the ages.
I don’t think Fur Elise is dramatically different in skill level while you’re playing it...or is there something I’m missing here? Is the arrangement we all play today not like the original? There are things that are super hard to play and I feel like with his skill, if Beethoven really wanted to he could have made the ending incredibly difficult. As it stands, if there is a difference, it’s not much of one. That doesn’t seem like spite to me. In any case, Moonlight Sonata also increases in complexity. I think there aren’t a lot of songs in the classical genre that don’t, because of the way classical music is written to build on itself and take detours. I think this might be a “real rumor” if that makes any sense? But I don’t think it’s actually true.
And thats how the master himself created a masterpiece. That even after 100 years and no matter how it is played, its still a part of musichistory. No one in this time will ever be able to compose like Beethoven or other classical composers did. There is no music comparable in this time, to what the old masters created. They created worlds, storys... And even after hundred of years they are able to be retold. And i tell this as a musician who doesn't wants to hear Für Elise anylonger, because conceptually its to not comparable to other classical work from Beethoven or other composers. But compared to other composers its still and will ever be a masterpiece.

She went for about five years believing her soulmate was dead until she found out not only that he is alive, but also he is the evil champion of a corrupt god who plans on releasing him from the nine hells to cause chaos. My character's name is Elyse, and this perfectly fits her downward spiral into insanity. But then she gets better and ends up becoming a minor deity, going to the hell realm where this god is, and kills him, releasing the soul of her soulmate. Thank you for making something that perfectly captured my character's emotions during the hardest part of her life. This was awesome to listen to, to get into her mindset before the session

"-Fritz, are you sure the guests will enjoy tonight's entertainment? Have you summoned a worthy piannist? -Oh yes, undoubtefully, sire! We have chosen one of a rising popularity among the young nobles. They all say 'tis the dankest!"
It was the early 1800s. Some were near Vienna in a dimly lited room with a single candle. Beethoven slouching over a desk scribbles notes on a faded parchment. Thinking of a particular Elise, he writes each note with love and tenderment. He plans to show her this song and ask her out she will surely love it. But tonight, something seems weird the shadows are darker than usual. His vision starts to blur, losing consciousness, he slumps over at his desk. The candle flame is no more. The real world fades as he enters into a dream world. Dazed, he finds himself in a dark forest. In the distance, he sees an army of shadowy creatures guarding a prisoner. He creeps closer and sees the prisoner's face. "Elise, do not despair. I shall free you," he whispers. Elise sinks down the shackles binding her hands, and her feet clatter against the cage bars. The sound startles the creatures they look around. One sees Beethoven and bears its long blood-stained fangs. Beethoven barleys doges the first beast tumbling to the ground. Somehow lightning shoots out of his fingers, striking the animal attacking him, but when he kills one, three more leap at him, clawing viciously. There are hundreds of them. His energy quickly depletes suddenly. Another beast pounces on him and rips his body apart. "Noo, my precious, Elise," his soul cries out as he feels his body being mercifully eaten. She was the only girl who gave him a chance after years of other girls laughing at his earnest proposals. The girls always rejected him in favor of a taller, wealthier suitor. Still, Elise didn't care for that, and she was the most beautiful of all. Every other woman rejected him, made him feel small, and found his love a nuisance. Elise was the only one who noticed him. the one he promised to always protect, care for, and love for eternity. His spirit tingles the electricity within its building, and Beethoven feels his body coming back to life. He leaps straight into the mass of shadowy beasts "im still here," he roars. His ferocity shocks the creatures. Disorganized, they're overpowered quickly by his attacks. Beethoven's lightning infuses with more power than he ever imagined. Killing whoever they hit, he takes great pleasure in the shock on their faces as he destroys 3,4,5 beasts at once mercifully. A pack of them retreats desperately, trying to escape his lightning. he keeps advancing towards Elise's cage. Suddenly the most fantastic brute their leader leaps out at him. It's more vicious than 10 smaller beasts combined. He pins Beethoven to the ground and growls, "give up, you pathetic wretch. No one will ever love you," the leader snarls pinning him to the ground. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees Elise watching the battle with desperate eyes, "I may have given up on every girl in the past, but I won't give up on you," he cries. Mustering all his strength, an explosion of lightning radiates from him, slaughtering them all. He free's Elise and takes her in his arms. "I love you," said Beethoven. " Me to," Elise whispered weakly. Just as their lips were about to touch, her body limps as she falls to the ground, lifeless. "Elise nooo," Beethoven screams as she fades away. Just as despair crushes him, he wakes up in a cold sweat, eyes wide open. Knowing what he must do, he must see Elise. TO BE CONTINUED ,

Not to be that prick, but Fur Elise is not a beginner piano piece. It is arguably harder to play Fur Elise on a technical level then this dubstep version, as the dubstep drowns out enough of the playing that there is no need for dynamics or finger control, just jumping around with some solid chords and octaves...
I used to play Für Elise everynight for my kids when they went to bed. They still remember it fondly. My text to my 30something year old kids when sending this link: I am sooooo pumped that was.. just... Wooooow.
It's funny to read your comment (I do realize yours was a month prior, so you may never see mine, but...); I too would play Für elise to my two eldest every night before bed (ones 21, the other is now 13) before I suffered a stroke & an accident to my right hand. Our 6yo just recieved her very own piano for her birthday & our 13yo instantly insisted it would be the first "real piece," he would teach her. I only stumbled upon this video, after searching for note tutorials-as my 13yo has dyslexia (and similar issues) and while he is an insanely gifted pianist, he cannot read sheet music & plays by hearing only. I wanted her to learn to read as she went-as his talent isn't as common for most (it only takes him once or twice to successfully translate even the most complicated pieces). I had actually just texted him this video link, to challenge him, since it's audibly atypical/dubstep. He was ecstatic to give it a go. It brings so many fond memories back, as you had stated & my older boys certainly cherish those memories, just as much as I did. Amazing perspective and talent displayed. Amazing yet, how the power of music seemingly connects us all & the impact it leaves.
Fur Elise has always been one of my absolute favorite melodies. I have several different versions of it. This had made me fall in love with it again. This was haunting and exciting all at the same time. Absolutely Fantastic!! Thank You!!

Really?
@@whyitsnoneofyourbusiness3607 yeah this is pretty well documented. she was not a very skilled pianist, that's why the begining of the piece is so easy to play. And there's a pretty sharp turn in it when it becomes kind of hard to play all of a sudden :D
Um, no-one has ever been able to work out who the "Elise" was in the title. No historical records of her.
"Somehow, lightning shoots out of his fingertips, striking the beast that's attacking him." I think Beethoven is a Sith lord.
@LittleSquid416 no, never heard of it
I thought not. It’s not a story the composers would tell you.
The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be...unnatural...

@@MusicalBasics yeah HUGE thanks to kodeblooded. So I am a DnD player. My first character was a wood elf ranger whose fiancé died during a dragon ambush.

Gah, this was amazing. I could hardly believe how fast your fingers were moving and with such precision. Not only that, but the composition itself was epic. I could still recognize Beethoven in it, but it was still very modern and techno sounding.

b) a Dubstep artist.

c) a writer.

WOW - this arrangement is masterful! Who could imagine this gentle work would be taken to this extreme, complete with dark and dynamic textures with some serious dubstep thrown in? This isn't for everyone (especially the purists), but personally, I reckon this is wonderful. Congratulations to the performer, arranger, producer (Kodeblooded) and video producer.

Don’t feel bad if you’re not able to play at full speed, he didn’t. He played at a slower speed and sped up the video.
He wrote this piano piece and made it easy for someone he was madly in love with, soon he learned about her engagement and made the rest of the song hard so she will never be able to play it, we can feel and hear all that emotion in the Fur elise.

Piano solo version: ruclips.net/video/saWgLFerG4Y/видео.html
it was suppose to be Fur Therese and not fur elise but because Therese did not want to marry him, he named it fur elise because he misspelled it wrongly and thus made it to a break up
And nope Therese wont have a chance with him no more
He doesn't.
