These members of VIVIZ were only 16 and 17 at the time. But as they matured they progressed from powerful innocence to orchestral Kpop where real instruments and powerful vocals dominated together with perfect synchronisation when dancing for which they became legendary. They had a retro sound culminating in Apple and Mago where they became witches and gave into temptation. VIVIZ were an important part of the group back then and developed their skills and confidence there as they matured. They started out training in a windowless basement for a bankrupt company where they even had to use toilets in an office block across the street. They were the only idols in the company so there were zero company stans to support them unlike the millions of stans the big companies had which they were competing against with huge budgets. By contrast their company couldn’t even afford clothes for them to wear on stages so they created a school concept meaning they could buy cheap generic school outfits to wear on their stages. Which is why VIVIZ are so appreciative of everything they now have and so nice and respectful to everyone in the industry because they remember when they had nothing.

But I am so proud of VIVIZ for flying the GFriend flag still for Buddies but now they have lots of Na.Vs who are new fans who have never even heard of GFriend. However I did buy concert tickets for the next concert VIVIZ did in the Uk only for it to be cancelled at the last minute due to the terrible Korean tragedy that occurred. As GFriend, they were one of the top groups of their generation despite not coming from the big3 companies(at the time) Their company got acquired by Hybe after Hybe forced its way into the top and became the Big4, and they weren’t valued by the new management, who didn’t renew their contracts after it expired. These 3 women, Eunha, SinB and Umji then redebuted as Viviz. The news is that GFRIEND are going to have a special reunion comeback early next year so stay tuned.

I think you need to react to Maniac and Untie next which was from their previous comeback. The latter is truly dangerous for your health with Kany not only choreographing the dance routine but also directing the performance video. She did an amazing job which led to the video winning Best Performance Video 2023 at Hanteo Music Awards. Maniac went viral because of their Pop Your Ongdong dance challenge which seemingly had every Kpop idol taking it on. It won Most Popular Song at the same award show as well. For information the members are Eunha aged 27 (blonde), SinB (who started the floor dance) aged 26, and Umji (who did it next) also aged 26 but the maknae. They insist GFriend never disbanded but remain together, despite no new music for 4 years as the members are in different companies now. This is why they say that Sowon is still their leader even though she isn’t even in their group! She was the leader in GFriend. All this will change in January when Hybe and Source Music are sponsoring their reunion and all 6 members will be together once more on stage. Ironic as they are the ones who tried to disband them in the first place.

You said they harmonise so well it is as is if they have been together for years. Well spot on. They have sung together for 10 years since they were 16. No wonder they are so good. The first 7 years was as one half of GFriend who celebrate their 10 anniversary in January 2015. They were one of most successful girl groups in Kpop of all time with 71 music show wins. Only Girls Generation, Twice and Red Velvet are above them. GFriend were the first girl group to ever achieve a Perfect All Kill when they topped all 16 music charts simultaneously with Rough. That song alone won 15 music shows followed up by Navillera 6 months later which won 14 as well. 29 music show wins in a year was a record too with only 2 songs released. So no wonder VIVIZ are really, really good. Their company terminated their contracts early during Covid so they could debut a new group and VIVIZ was formed 6 months later from half the members.
