Thomas, have you always used flap stick down as off and up to activate flaps? Seems counterintuitive to me...to make flaps go down I like to pull the stick down, just like a full-scale aircraft. Thanks for the tip, now I just need to reverse the function!
Hey Jim, yes I've always done it like this, it's against the norm. Most people I see are pulling down for flaps. My mentality has always been like pushing the brakes on the car... the harder I push the more braking power I get. The nice side-effect is since the stick returns to the bottom I have a very nice, large spot for my thumb to grip w/out fear of touching the stick. I hope you like the mod! Definitely works in both directions :)
What are you doing to turn flaps off during the launch sequence?
Great video! Big like!
If you could, please, make a video tutorial on how to configure X Lite for DLG, I would be very grateful.
We will cover that in an upcoming video. But not right away. More complex project.
That is excellent! Putting the same rubber band in tonight.
Let us know how it works for you!
Works perfectly. Thanks again! Keep up the videos. They are excellent. :-)
Cool mod! As I use my radio for motor gliders as well, I won't be doing this, but you've got me thinking about possibilities.
For motor gliders we usually have motor on a slider, flap control is too important for sailplanes and speed control haha.

Interesting way of looking at it... i always thought of the flap stick as a throttle up to go faster down to slow down
nice tip!
Thank you!
Very cool.. Subscribed.. :)
Thanks Jeff!
Just use a Jeti. Like a 12. They have this feature built in just engage the spring or don’t depending how you like it.
AFAIK Jeti (like the others) will only return it to centre, not to the top/bottom.
You could just wrap it around the stick and the handle and not void your warranty
If you run the rubber band around the outside of the radio, you don’t void the warranty on the radio.
