You would be amazed how much mud the flap keeps off my engine. I've only broke the rear end once in 3 years, never broke the 44. Good parts and good wheel speed make them live. No need to add the weight of bigger axles.
That's supernatural your half ton axles servive , I've got a 75 f100 4x4 425hp 390fe 31" tires yet the drivetrain says one tons. My buddy has same truck but built 351m 33" tires, he broke u joints in the d44 and driveshafts alot. Hey what's the compression and your cam size?
The color on my truck is PPG formula # 105330. It was formulated in the delfleet line for semi trucks, the metallic flake is a lot larger than automotive colors.
Too funny!! I just happen to run across your video and thought... I remember that truck! I was beside you at gas guzzy with the black International pickup, you had the baddest truck there!
i was at the indy jamboree in 2011 and 2012. We took first place in multiple classes with the orange ford ranger NEVER SATISFIED from D&R RACING. nice truck by the way
Not much of a Ford guy but damn that turned out good. Hey little trick I learned to help seal the bead there is a can of gold gasket making material in a spray can spray that s*** all over the beat before you air the tire up it'll hold I did it on a tire and had a hell of a time breaking it off the bead when I needed to change the tire I was using the Outrigger on a backhoe took me like an hour to finally get the tire to come off
@tlrs819 that's true it takes less power to turn half to axles vs one ton. None the less beautiful truck, and good job on keeping a ford motor under the hood
Your a lucky man! what you got done to the dana 44 ? cuz i got chromeollys in mine, and i welded it and i blow axles up still! and i got a little 300 - 6 in it! hahaha
Hey, nice to hear from you. I remember you and the International. Find me on facebook - Tim Spurlock. I keep everyone updated on our monthly mud bogs at the New Paris Speedway that I'm sure you would enjoy.
looks like you put a great running truck together. runs and sounds strong. not puting your truck down by any means, but come to Missouri and play in some real mud/gumbo.
Cool mud truck. Thats alot of power pushing through thoughs half-ton axles with the meets your running and all you got was a broken axle(thats pretty cool). I have the same axles on my 67F100. That gives me faith to run more power. What u-joints and size of drive-line are you running?
where did you get the billet axle joints at ive built my truck with a 472 BBF pushin 500hp and runnin that dana 44 front with a locker 4.10 gears and chromoly shafts and trying to figure out how to make it a little bit stronger
you left on the dana 44 front and 9in rear? hows it holdin up to the power i have a 79 im building up its only got the 300i6 in it right now but im thinking bout putting my 347 stroker in it
are you from indiana im taking it? i am and was wondering if you had any tips for a truck that can be daily driven and be good in the mud. any advice would help thanks
end of story i love your truck i have a similar halfton in middle of resto to give it to my son when he turns 16 but no big block just got 347 sb full roller from carquest just need to assemble and of course a michigan truckbody needs a lot of rust repair work. now if a truck could give me a hard on yours would fit the bill
they all ways whine when a ford shows up cause the chevy boys cant compete with the blue oval they all ways have way to much power and for the haters out their the 302 ci small block eats the chevy 350 ci that's said love ur truck hope u take first in all ur standings

I see you run around Indiana, you should come down to the greene county motorports mud bog sometime, and sullivan county fair bogs are great as well.

Thats a badass mud truck. You need some beadlocks to keep them tires from spinning on the rims.
Amazing looking truck, love the before and after photos along with the in progress photos. Song name by chance????
Your a lucky man! what you got done to the dana 44 ? cuz i got chromeollys in mine, and i welded it and i blow axles up still! and i got a little 300 - 6 in it! hahaha

So thats a mud drag not a mud bog really, I'd like to see you hit some holes! it seems like it has a pretty healthy motor in it.
the first song is matt steel's "mud bog"
looks like you put a great running truck together. runs and sounds strong. not puting your truck down by any means, but come to Missouri and play in some real mud/gumbo.
Great job on the build but I figure that motor will dissintergrate them stock 1/2 ton axles.
i love the hell out of it
Cool mud truck. Thats alot of power pushing through thoughs half-ton axles with the meets your running and all you got was a broken axle(thats pretty cool). I have the same axles on my 67F100. That gives me faith to run more power. What u-joints and size of drive-line are you running?

what was your fastest time
most of those pits are 3 to 4 feet deep!
You say your motor is a 557 is that a 460 stroked or how did you get that motor
is that a stock d44/9" combo or are they built? i knew the 9" was strong but holy crap i didnt know it was that strong
What transmission and transfer case do you have?
are you sell running it today it hot track
Why do you have a massive mud flap on the front!
and why are you using a dana 44 and 9" ?
So you purchased a vehicle for $5000 or so and how much did you put into it?
btw what size are your tires?
9'' rear, dana 44 with chromo shafts and billet axle joints.
whats the song is playing in the begining
