You would be amazed how much mud the flap keeps off my engine. I've only broke the rear end once in 3 years, never broke the 44. Good parts and good wheel speed make them live. No need to add the weight of bigger axles.
That's supernatural your half ton axles servive , I've got a 75 f100 4x4 425hp 390fe 31" tires yet the drivetrain says one tons. My buddy has same truck but built 351m 33" tires, he broke u joints in the d44 and driveshafts alot. Hey what's the compression and your cam size?

The color on my truck is PPG formula # 105330. It was formulated in the delfleet line for semi trucks, the metallic flake is a lot larger than automotive colors.

One helluva Ford
Not much of a Ford guy but damn that turned out good. Hey little trick I learned to help seal the bead there is a can of gold gasket making material in a spray can spray that s*** all over the beat before you air the tire up it'll hold I did it on a tire and had a hell of a time breaking it off the bead when I needed to change the tire I was using the Outrigger on a backhoe took me like an hour to finally get the tire to come off
@tlrs819 that's true it takes less power to turn half to axles vs one ton. None the less beautiful truck, and good job on keeping a ford motor under the hood

Cool mud truck. Thats alot of power pushing through thoughs half-ton axles with the meets your running and all you got was a broken axle(thats pretty cool). I have the same axles on my 67F100. That gives me faith to run more power.What u-joints and size of drive-line are you running?

Thats a badass mud truck. You need some beadlocks to keep them tires from spinning on the rims.

you left on the dana 44 front and 9in rear? hows it holdin up to the power i have a 79 im building up its only got the 300i6 in it right now but im thinking bout putting my 347 stroker in it

So thats a mud drag not a mud bog really, I'd like to see you hit some holes! it seems like it has a pretty healthy motor in it.
I see you run around Indiana, you should come down to the greene county motorports mud bog sometime, and sullivan county fair bogs are great as well.

im not sure if i like the cut out flaers but beautiful truck man!
where did you get the billet axle joints at ive built my truck with a 472 BBF pushin 500hp and runnin that dana 44 front with a locker 4.10 gears and chromoly shafts and trying to figure out how to make it a little bit stronger
What transmission and transfer case do you have?

I'm building a 74 f250 right now, I'm going to keep the np435 and see how it does.

You say your motor is a 557 is that a 460 stroked or how did you get that motor
looks like you put a great running truck together. runs and sounds strong. not puting your truck down by any means, but come to Missouri and play in some real mud/gumbo.

Great job on the build but I figure that motor will dissintergrate them stock 1/2 ton axles.
