An awesome Ranking! The European French language is so beautiful, one of my favorite dubbing language. For me, Snow White 1938, Cinderella 1950, Aurora 1959, Kiara, Tiana are so low; And I love many European French voices! My number one is Anastasia! Nice editing, I love this video :)
Never saw China likened to Taryn before, but you're not wrong. I agree with what you said on Mulan but those feelings extend to Ariel for me, too. Laura is one of my greatest loves in all dubs :D. Big agree for #1, I watched the whole film in French and it was great. She would be my fav if not for Laura.
Great video, love your comments! So agree about Benedicte, Claudia, Marie as Ariel (to me she’s perfect as Mulan too), Laura & more My big disagreements are Elsa (despite being truly involved and fitting, she never captured my attention), Danielle (sweet, delicate, gracious, feminine, pbbly the most beautiful voice here), and Rachel (how much I love her
As a French Disney lover, I'm agree with almost all your ranking, especially what you said about Maeva for her Rapunzel💜she's one of my favorite Disney character ever and her French voice is perfect❤ I also really love our Pocahontas, our Melody, our Belle of course and I prefer Anna voice even if Anais is an amazing singer !
Thank you for this ranking and comments! I am proud of my native language and dubs. I do not agree with some of your comments (especially on Cinderella or Aurora) but we can not all have the same opinion. :) By the way, it's not Dominique Poulain in your video, but Paulette Rollin (1950 french dub). Here it's Dominique Poulain : ruclips.net/video/C1AD-0SmgVs/видео.html
Aww I love when you upload a new video! They are always really interesting! We agree in some points, and disagree in others. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who isn't crazy for Dominique Poulain (in general I'm not a fan of France redubs). And I'm glad to see you like Claudia, Laura, and Anaïs, they are my favourites! My biggest disagreements are Marie and Maeva. I don't like Marie's Ariel, but her Mulan is my third favourite among Mulan's voices. And I like Maeva the same as Rapunzel and as Merida :) Once again, a very beautiful video, with GORGEOUS editing and on-spot comments! As always, a pleasure to watch!
I was quite sure about Benedicte!! She is awesome!! I don't have a clear opinion about the French voices since I like almost all of them!! But we share the same top 5! Incredible ranking for once more!! ❤❤❤❤
Great video, it's always interesting to watch a ranking of my voices :) Thank you so much for Bénédicte, she's my favorite too and the most important voice of my childhood, so glad to finally see her 1st in a French ranking :D I agree with the last place, I like her energy, her passion and her groove, she embodies Tiana very well but she sounds too irritating to me^^ I don't have the same opinion about Marie Galey and Maéva Méline's roles. I way perfer Marie's Mulan where she sounds more sincere, humble and connected to the character's feelings than as Ariel where she just sounds like a showing-off pop singer who wants to show how sexy she is IMO (in her attitude). I agree Maéva lacks power and the spirit of the movie in Touch The Sky but at least she doesn't force her cuteness and her baby-ish attitude, isn't parodical and doesn't turn the songs into sweet songs for kids like as Rapunzel to me. For Rapunzel I like also to hear the power and the modern teen side of Mandy Moore because Rapunzel is 18 after all, not 12 and she's not passive that's why Maéva isn't a good embodiment of Rapunzel at all to me. I wish she could have sung like in the serie where she's perfect. I agree with the comment about Emmylou, her singing skills weren't that great in FTFTIF and it prevents me for loving her more in the movie. But she's the best of the bests in DYWTBAS and as you said she improved in the sequels but also as Belle 2017. So glad you put high Claudia, Mimi and Laura who are among my favorites too. I would just put Dominique (you took the 1st dub by Paulette Rollin, not Dominique) and Danielle higher since I love them so much too.
Haha okay, this is hard because I realized I don't have any strong opinion for any of the French voices yet....I think they all are good casts on paper, China is black and jazz oriented like Tiana, Emmylou was 18 when she dubbed Anna, Maeva was also 18 and she actually sings a lot of acoustic music similar to the vibe Rapunzel's song gives, but then, I prefer Touch The Sky much more than her Into The Open Air, Benedicte is good for Belle but she isn't my favorite French voice, I just don't find her interesting enough. Cerise is probably the best singer if we talk of skill though, she's like a showstopping cast by France in a loooong time (or forever maybe lol, I've found French Princess voices strong on interpretation and emotion but vocal power not much, Cerise is a first on that...) Great editing btw.
True she sounds similar to Emmylou but to me it's hearable that Emmylou's youth and cuteness are more natural and that she sounds more like a teenage, Maéva doesn't IMO. Her cuteness sounds quite forced to me as Rapunzel in the movie and I only hear an adult trying to be a cute little kid (like Carmen Lopez actually) and no one can cheat. And the fact that she forces her cuteness make her sound way younger than 18 to me.
Stru Bel Well, this forced thing may be better audible to an actual French person. To me, Maeva in fact sounds kinda better than Emmylou's Anna lol, and definitely NOT like Carmen. This is just my opinion though. There are some singers whose age practically becomes obvious no matter how great of singers they are - for ex Yasmine Yamajako and Jodi Benson, but then there are other singers who may be very old but the age of their voice doesn't come off as bothering to me because of various reasons....like Maeva (she even fooled me), SoHyang and Benedicte Lecroart....their voices are too timeless to be affected by age that much, but that's just my personal opinion and I totally see what you're saying.
I really agree with the place from the bottom even though Dominique Poulain is the Cinderella of mychildhood I never really like her voice and Moana really disappoint me I would put Danielle Licari, Marie Galey as mulan (I prefer her Mulan), Claudia Meyer ( my fav french voice after Nathalie Fauran but she is not here) a bit higher :) I would put Karine Costa ( I love her in Cinderella 3 or in some of her other song but not as jasmine) I love your top 5 ;) Great video and ranking :)
That intro ^^ I agree with Tiana. I tried to like her, really but I keep finding her annoying, even though she puts her whole heart in the songs... Her speaking is much better fortunately ^^ I think you took the wrong version for Cinderella ^^ But no matter which one you meant to place there (judging on the comments, it was indeed supposed to be Dominique Poulain), I'm not a fan of both of them. Dominique (the 90's singer) bores me to DEATH so I'd have a small preference for the 50's singer. Aaaand... here's my first big disaggreement, as Cerise is my number one xD but I already said that I can understand what people don't like about her. That's what I didn't like at first too ^^ Agree with Rachel Pignot. Maybe I'm biased because I grew up with that sweetheart Lucie Dolène but I really don't get touched by that new version. Her voice is pure and beautiful but she's boring and a little bland to me :/ And I'm happy to see Aurora so high :D I think of all the singers in this ranking she has the purest and most enjoyable singing, I just love her
Lmao you just called Holidays "boring"? Lol, if I was the red queen from Alice in wonderland I'd have been like "off with Kasia's head'' hahaha just kidding. Holidays are not at all boring to me though, even if I just Netflix and chill all day with no outing haha XD my lazy and asocial ass prefers them over work and college days anytime...😂😂😂 Now that I've ranted enough, I'll watch your ranking and comment about it too lol.
yeeee haha they are pretty boring especially when you see your friends post pics from all the different countries on snapchat :"D it's a home > work, work > home routine for me as well currently & rewatching The Walking Dead stops being fun after some time lmao

thank you ♥ turkish is 3rd on the list :)

rishabhrox1 Maeva was 30 when she dubbed Rapunzel^^
Stru Bel
Omg really? Gosh I had no idea because she also looked 18 and sounded like that too. I got fooled I must say lol.
