It seems like there is no shortage of CPS failures in this country. What might be more shocking to you is that there are many, many more CPS failures out there that don't even make it to the news. Unless a child dies, it is very rare for the information to get released. However, we get several emails and messages a month from people sharing their experiences with CPS. If you are in a situation like this, I know it can be an uphill battle, but please keep calling and don't stop calling. A trend throughout all these cases is that CPS can get complacent, lazy, or give up entirely on a child when no pressure is being placed on them.

I had a situation with my sons, which i wont go into detail on for their privacy, and i quite literally kept calling DCF on myself in search of help. Alongside also calling local police, It took an entire year to get somebody to finally listen and do something to help. Its shameful.

I suffered SA, PA, MA, and various near death experiences because the courts thought my mother was 'unfit'. She wasn't perfect, but she fed and protected and enriched me whilst my bio father did a variety of hard drugs and brought his methhead friends around me. I lived my early puberty with my bedroom door ripped off and my windows nailed shut. I would have been in a drunk driving wreck caused by him if it hadn't been for the fact my mother got tired of being denied her visit and picked me up. He suffered multiple skull and back injuries that took years to heal, I wouldn't have faired any better if not worse given how small I was and how the car had long since had the seatbelts cut out due to his paranoia.
CPS is a joke, and they will take literally anyone to work those jobs. They don't care. The government does not care about children, especially the children of under privileged folk and those with histories of drugs or crime. Children of these people might as well be guilty of the same in the eyes of CPS.

now thhis past week i have watchhed alot of your videos, and a theme i have noticed is that if you think of what kind of work it would require to replace 9 kids, it seems it is obvious that the cps workers chose to abbandon the investigations because it is so obvious abuse, but the work it would require of them would be more than, they wanted so they just said nothings wrong, it seems so wrong they cant be held responsible, like in this case, shouldn't the foster mom or anyone be able to sue cps for wrongfull death or something like that. when theres physical proof of the abuse like the picture something really needs to change in your country (i'm from denmark)

Why are people working for CPS when they have no interest in protecting children, which is literally in the name of their agency, Child PROTECTIVE Services? If a child dies because of a caseworker’s negligence, that caseworker should be fired and never allowed to work with children, or any job that involves children.

@@tonyajustice5386Itbteally is! I had to live in public housing for a while and I could tell you all kinds of stories about the people who, lived there. I was one family where it was 3 generations of welfare mothers. The girls get pregnant so early and the cycle just goes on and on.
And it’s all about “ gaming the system” which is getting as many benifits and as much in benifits as you can and not reporting income. The place I lived even has subsidized daycare! This was to encourage mothers to get a job or go to,school. There were programs to help you get a GED and go to grade school , community college or the state university.
The amount and variety of programs available was just staggering. But people didn’t want to work or attend any kind of ,school, no one wanted to get in those programs Just the programs that gave out something for free or subsidized.
There was even a charity close to the housing development that had a food bank and every week you’d see the women many times stoned or drunk, half the time, dressed really nice, those long claw like nails, lots of tattoos, hair with extensions etc, wirh a bunch of kids pulling up in nice cars to get,the free food. They would elbow you and push you out of the way to get in the line first so they could get “ the good stuff” that ran out quickly . There was nearly a riot when the charity saw this and started a policy where they wouldnt let people in to choose what food the person wanted, but the charity made up bags of food that they then handed out . They had to call the cops to sort it out!
This charity also would give out good clean baby and children’s clothing . You know kids grow so fast and new new clothes often…..And I saw the mothers take the stuff and then throw it away in the dumpsters because it wasn’t brand new or they wouid find something “wrong” with it.
And the kids! So badly behaved, dirty, and snotty nosed….runing and crashing into people, grabbing stuff out of peoples hands , You could see the mothers just didn’t parent them,at all. The mothers wouid just stand around gossiping. The only time the mothers seemed to care was if the kids got in a scuffle , then the mothers of each of the kids would come and scream ( sometimes fight) each other.
Yet you have 3 generations of single women living in the subsidized housing, all popping out a baby every year . Their druggie baby daddies would live wirh them and sell drugs out of the apartments. No one reported them for this even tho it wasnt allowed.
You had to be super careful cause if someone saw you going into your apartment with something valuable, like a TV, or a piece of furniture for a baby, or anything that someone wanted, then someone would break in your apartment and steal it when you were not home.
. I saw mothers smack their kids, young kids ….grab them by the arm and drag them back to their apartment…….lots of “ shut up crying or I will give you a reason to cry” kind of thing……I did hear LOTS of screaming , fights , kids screaming and crying, and some gunshots and the cops were there almost every day. The way the apartment blocks ( and the whole development) were laid out, it was hard to tell where some sound was coming from .
At the first of the month when the checks and food stamps arrived in the mail ( this was in the 1980’s) it was horrible, like a war zone.
I kept my mouth shut and kept to myself . My apartment was broken into 3 times, twice when I wasn’t there and once when I was home and I have the scars to prove that . Thank God I lived but it could have gone the other way easily. The cops never caught the thieves for any of the break ins. ( they lived in the housing development ,I saw them several times,)
It was just so depressing… And the mind set of the women. Just “ me, me, me, and gimme, gimme, gimme” .

It's definitely a broken system much like all our systems 😢 we refuse to accept and acknowledge that a systems primary function can be something that is necessary in our society but that the system itself is too broken and too burdened by its foundational history to be effective at is primary function 😢 we do this in all aspects a certain part of our population (and most of those in power) play a game of deliberately misunderstanding the rest of us. They love to act as if we are saying that the primary function of our systems is unnecessary when that's just not the truth of what people are saying and they do so either because they can't imagine things being any different than they are and they are not personally affected by the negative aspects of these systems in a way they can understand or simply because they are willing to trade the negatives of such systems to not have to do the work to make it better. So they are fully aware they are trading the literal life's of some people and children but they don't value them as much as the cost and work it would take to fix it. Perhaps if we can force them to have to outright say "I'm choosing the death, abuse, and trauma of thousands of children and people instead of spending the money to fix it" we might make progress. 😢

To give the benefit of the doubt to those who do care, the case load is so large that by the time the workers can get to the kids, it's already too late or their bosses decided to override their concerns. I think I remember one CPS worker saying they had over 200 children to work with and was expected to close all of them in a unreasonable time frame, like a week. Then get told that the bosses decided they need more kids to their case load as they didn't have enough workers.
That doesn't excuse those who just write a report saying, "the house was a little dirty, but is, otherwise, a safe place" when the child is obviously being beaten and neglected. Or sending children who were victims of abuse to known abusers. In my state, they sent a girl, a victim of sex trafficking, to a known pimp who had gotten out of jail just days prior.

This is from my hometown, we were all devastated at this case. It’s so insane she was given back to her mother. My mother just retired as a Syracuse social worker. It’s an uphill battle for these type of people working in the system bc they are so overwhelmed with case loads. Some of which are extremely urgent and dire. This leaves ones that maybe aren’t so blatant to slip through the cracks, it’s no excuse …We need a lot of reform here when it comes to CPS and family court. We need more resources and funding here and everywhere!

Doesn’t have the means or stability for the children that she already has . Why would she want to have more kids she can’t care for & doesn’t want! For the boyfriend, why the hell would anybody want to have a child with someone who is abusive to the children they already have. He watches this woman beat & abuse her small children & thinks “ I want her to be the mother of my child !” It’s just crazy. He just allowed her to torture her kids & didn’t do anything about it . He just must have been too busy to stop her from murdering her child. There is no excuse for either of them. He may not have abused the kids himself, but he knew what was happening. He could have stopped her but instead he helped burry an innocent child after she was brutally beaten. Disgusting

When I was 3, mom had to run to work real quick, which was a 5 minute walk from home, and was gone for about 30 minutes, but I dont know if she had neglected to say anything, or if I, just did what I do, and left the home (Apparently as soon as I learned to walk as a baby, I'd take any opportunity to run out the house and they'd find me crying outside, sitting on my diaper cause the Texas sidewalk wasn't made for bare baby feet 😂). CPS took me away for 3 years. 3 long years, my mom had to fight tooth and nail to get me back, going deep into debt paying lawyers. But a drug-addled, clearly abusive woman is returned all her kids? Come the f*ck on.
At the least, I'm grateful that I was placed in a loving foster family.
    Edit: removed a redundant word.

    • @shannonrose4370
      @shannonrose4370 5 месяцев назад +1

Unfortunately this is usually the only times children are taken away. Yes it’s was wrong your mother even left you home alone even if she was back in 5 minutes, because a 3 year old could easily put themselves in danger within seconds. But that’s absolutely nothing anywhere near as bad as this case and it took the death of that child for them to finally get all the kids outta there forever. I’m glad your mother was able to get you back, and she learned a lesson even if it seemed innocent to her especially compared to thousands of other cases. Your mother made a mistake, that should not have ended up with you taken away for so long when others get a warning for so much worse. Like this mother here intentionally hurt, killed and hid her child’s remains. CPS was called many times on her by multiple people, they had tons of obvious evidence and proof of this baby being in danger and yet they kept her there. How does that make any sense? I’m so sorry you had to go through that and that your mother was treated worse by CPS as if she was a serious criminal, when the actual dangerous criminals hardly get a slap on the wrist, just multiple warnings until it’s too late and the child is no longer living. It’s so ass backwards. It’s like is CPS scared of certain people possibly coming after them if they have to do their job and remove a child? Or are they just lazy fucks and only take the ones who are easier to take with parents who have money to pay and fight to get them back? That’s what it seems like. They knew they weren’t gonna get any money from this lady to fight for her baby, so to them it’s a waste of time. They happily take children from homes who they aren’t afraid of messing with because your mother probably acted like an adult and didn’t get physical with them knowing it’d make it worse, while also knowing your mother was for sure gonna put every dime possible and fight as long as possible to get you back. That’s our corrupt system for ya. And now she’s in debt that she’ll probably never get out of. That’s really sad and unfortunate. And this other family here had to off the child for CPS AND POLICE to finally take this seriously. Well it’s too late for her, and I think they need to be held accountable also. Including the judge that let her have her child back from the foster home she was happy, taken care of and safe at. It makes me sick to my stomach this is the world we live in, and it’s terrifying raising young kids now because now it’s not just police or CPS, the entire country is going psycho over some war somewhere else. We are going down and it’s a scary thought knowing it’s going to be our reality soon. Sending you both positive vibes and much love from my family to yours darling ❤❤❤

How could the judge have allowed this precious baby to be returned to her biological mother, who she did not know, when the bio mother had not finished all the things she was supposed to do, re mental health and drug addiction? CPS are also to blame for not taking the foster mother’s concerns more seriously.

She didn't actually WANT help and you can't force someone. Even getting someone 302'd or Baker Acted is only temporary unless they put the foot work in. Showing a pyschiatrist the texts wouldn't have done anything as she would have had to consent for treatment, provide her insurance info, participate in sessions, etc. People that wanna off themselves, off themselves..not beat their babies to d3ath.

My dear grandmother was bipolar and had seven the last one born right before the birth control pill was invented. My older aunts begged our grandfather not to have more children, because even with a cook & a nanny it was way too much for grandmother. She could take lithium when she wasn’t pregnant or breastfeeding, which unfortunately was seldom. He finally realized more children was really a dumb idea ,when your wife has severe bipolar. After menopause Grandmother bipolar calmed down so much she only took a light dose. I wasn’t born yet ,but I can only imagine the rollar coaster of emotions, pregnancy & no meds allowed must have made her feel so bad.

@missbojangelz8866. That is very true. But I think as soon as people hear bipolar, it means meds, or meds for life who h isn't always necessary. I would however think it would be a useful tool until one is able to develop other ways to deal with said mental health issue. "we" don't always need to be medicated, it all depends per person but sadly sometimes we aren't seen as individuals with our own toolset to deal with issues but as a label that is easier handled with meds.
That said, being on it does NOT mean one isn't doing everything they can to. get things under control. It is not failing if you do need meds whatsoever and please whoever reads this, do what works for you and if you benefit off meds, by all means take them and stay on them if it means having a stable, healthier life. I by no means mean that medication is bad, I am on some myself, but I also quit some when I learned to deal with things a certain way.
But I can see now that I should be prepared for it
But we also shouldn't be seen as a homogenous group where meds are solution nr 1 and only and sometimes never given good other tools to handle our mental health issue because we can't handle it, it's not for us, a certain potential beneficial therapy is sometimes not given because "people with x cannot handle that type of therapy" etc.

I have had previous experience with what we call FACS or Family and Community Services here in Australia and they just give the kids back to the parents regardless of their capability to be parents. There was a little boy removed from his drug addicted mother when he was 8 months old but although he went to a wonderful foster mother who cherished and adored him it wasn't many months before he was back with his selfish mother and would end up becoming the carer of his younger siblings as his "mother" wasn't able to "care" for them either! I can't share more of this story although I'd like to but in every continent except Antarctica there are children every single say being failed by the organisations set up to protect them. Poor Nefertiti and her foster mum. They would have had a great life together and Tuti would have been happy! I have got to remark on the "mother's" decision to take drugs to send her into labour at just 33 weeks could easily have ended in the death of that baby girl too. She clearly doesn't care about ANY of her children and I hope that she never sees any of them again! She should NEVER have got them back in the first place! Thanks again Drewby and Yergy for wading through the excrement!

@TheMiseryMachine it was hard. She actually hates me now because I got her taken from her dad but what he was doing was downright horrible. What is the worst part is how she loved her dad, even after all he did she didn't want to go.

@@PyroTheTherian35it’s sad. I remember one case on this channel.
The little girl was being beaten to death by her mom’s bf. He stoped for a minute. Her lasts were to her mom and she said “ i love you mommy” before the moms bf beat her more.

To the both of you, thank you. I will forever stand by and support those who bring light to these terrible crimes. Hopefully one day, these stories will reach the agencies meant to protect children and some change can finally come about, hopefully saving innocent babies in the future. They don’t deserve these fates, and I’m so glad you two have the strength to speak about these horrible stories and promote awareness so maybe one day, we can make change happen

This case is so heartbreaking 😭 My sister lived next door to this mom and her kids. The mom was ALWAYS screaming at the top of her lungs at the kids at all hours of the day and night. I spent month there taking care of my sisters kids while sh was in the hospital and this monster was going on about hating kids and wished hers would die and just awful stuff like that. In that month I called the police 5x due to the kids screaming at 3/4 in the morning and I called CPS as well. NOTHING was ever done. Our police department is a joke here. CPS needs a serious overhaul and training for everyone there. Tuti was a sweet little girl and she would wave to me and say hi when I was walking by to go back to the house. I'll never forget her big smile from ear to ear 😊 It kills me that so many young people in my city are dying by the hands of those that were supposedly the ones who loved them and were supposed to care for them. Syracuse is getting so bad. I'm glad my sister finally got smart and moved out of the inner city to more rural are with her kids. Tuti you will NEVER be forgotten and you'll ALWAYS be loved and missed by so many of us here that tried to truly protect you from those 2 monsters. I'm sorry babygirl that we failed you as your family and friends who tried to get you help. 😢😢

Beautiful, chubby cheek bright-eyed little Angel on the thumbnail and knew that, if you were covering it on this channel, it wasn't going to end well for her. I am heartbroken, but thank you so much for covering these stories that don't get enough attention.

I'm so tired of hearing these horrible cases where cps has yet again failed these children they claim their there to protect. How is it they allow so many of these innocent babies to fall threw the cracks like this?! Absolutely heart breaking

This was bloody ridiculous, why would you send children back to this awful home when they had loving care givers, why do they do this.
Surely the vulnerable children should be put before adults choosing their actions!

A friend of 20 years became so prideful when she qualified as manager in CPS, bragging on her professional status and how she cannot mix with low lifes (anymore). She came crashing down to earth when professionals looked down on her as two of her children became criminals, she soon left the job.
YES Im sick of seeing Misery Machine report time and time again of CPS failures. Its all about money, not the welfare of children.

All of those CPS workers and judges that turn a blind eye and return these vulnerable babies back to these poor excuses for human beings should face prison time right along with them! Maybe then they will take the jobs they signed up for seriously? Every step they took was a choice! These babies didn’t get a choice it was made for them the moment they deemed things to be unfounded! I just don’t understand this broken system? 🙏🏽 Sweet angel.
