    Will be fun when they will have deicded on how radar works and hopefully reduce the round spread.

      thats my stormworks gameplay loop. wait for update. build like crazy, next day everything changes, stop playing till next update because i just wasted all my time. cant they beta test this stuff first?

    To be honest, maybe the spread on the rotary cannon should be reduced a bit since hitting anything with full automatic fire will just overheat or waste ammunition.

      My biggest problem is that as I observed, it's not just spread, but it fires in a circle, and no shells go in the center, so it's hard to hit a missile coming at you

    I spent way too long last night building my own automatic reloading ciws. I’ll probably post it once I get some manual controls.

    So when I tried making a small deck gun with the heavy auto cannon, for som reason it wanted to keep shoot way above a target ship and would also randomly jump around and shoot in different directions. How could I fix that?

    that is something that bothers me as well when building turrets, automated reload systems are such a pain to work with.
    i would like to see a pivot that comes with an ammo port or something
    or maybe an ammo belt rope anchor.
    oh, and making (some) of the belt blocks airtight would also be a great help

    Can you make missiles that come from a silo facing straight up that will track a ship?

      You could probably do this with laser guided gps guided and radar guided because you just have the missile launch, wait a second, then have it start tracking anything

      There's already a vertically launched GPS guided missile on the workshop. Incorporating that into VLS tubes wouldn't be too difficult with some work. I'm just waiting on someone to make a 1:1 scale Arleigh Burke with VLS, CIWS, the 5" gun and all that good stuff.

      @@Trve_Kvlt Im making a 1:1 (almost) Arleigh Burke, because the max ship size even with mod is 127m so it's not exactly 1:1 --- but close enough that every detail (MK45 gun, Hangar for 2 1:1 size Blackhawk Helos, etc) can be included. As of now the exterior and propulsion are 99% done (just need more details like equipment on deck). Also internals such as crew quarters, combat info center are to be added. Right now got a manual MK45 working, trying to figure out how to get the CIWS to even recognize a missile and (attempt) to track it

      @@ivanbao2083 127m is 28m short of the Flight IIA Arleigh Burke, so that's not terrible. But I've seen people make bigger ships by making sections of it, then turning it into a mission and connecting them all together. Something you could look into.

    I find it lovely how the AI chopper went out of its way to display the current prowess of the game's NPC AI. I mean it's a hit or miss and I get it, the AI is still being worked on. But there's little exciting when you go and storm Sawyer Island and 4/5ths of the enemy fleet have grounded themselves along river banks and their planes are flying into the mountain ranges. . . I'm just saying open water is where the AI will most likely get you while inland is where you'll more than likely own the AI.

    Does anybody know if there's a way to keep bullet casings?? Don't want them to disappear after 2 seconds.
    Also I know there might be performance issues, though I have a fairly good PC

    MrNJ please explain how it is possible to create firing zones where the radar can and can't track targets, as velocity pivots can't be limited. I have tried threshold hates, switches activated by tilt sensors, even PID's. All limit the rotational speed and NOT the rotational angle... Simple pivots just move back and forth all the time when tracking.

      Define how much rotation you want to allow (ie. .5) compare with a greater than block.
      Then use a threshold for positive(0-1) pivot control input.
      Send the threshold and greater than block to an and block.
      Send your pivot speed through a numerical switch box, off value is from the controller/seat, the on value is set to 0, and is activated by the and block.
      Just gotta make concessions for using the large pivot, but this method worked perfect for me. Stops the turret on a dime, allows movement back into the safe zone, and doesn't cause bouncing

      Well it was a rework on an existing creation, i would like to see a a10 built from the ground for weapons dlc and targeting systems etc, with compact missiles and bombs that are realistically sized etc

    The 20mil autocanon is great but if you get off while aiming up you can fall tru your ship. Watch out for that :)

    Loved the video @MrNJersey! Can't wait to see people use the 20 millimeter Oerlikon Anti-Aircraft gun and Build either the Quad 1.1 inch/75 Caliber guns aka the Chicago piano or the Single, Twin and/or Quad mount 40 millimeter Bofors Anti-Aircraft guns. I, myself, am a History "nut" and I would love to see more World War Two period Creations, be they Tanks, Armored Personnel Carriers, Anti-Tank Guns, Howitzers, Self-Propelled Artillery, Fighters, Fighter-Bombers, Light/Medium/Heavy Bombers, Dive Bombers, Torpedo Bombers, Floatplanes, Landing Craft, Landing Ships, Destroyer Escorts, Destroyers, Light and Heavy Cruisers, Battleships and Aircraft Carriers, even Transports and Oilers, in Stormworks fighting the AI! Glory to Raptoria and I'll catch you in your next video man!
