Adam Gemili: What makes an elite athlete?

The High-Performance Sport Scholarships Programme at the University of East London is one of the most attractive in the UK and enables elite athletes to balance study with their sporting ambitions by offering our elite athletes world-class facilities, comprehensive support and financial scholarships and bursaries.
Our current sports scholars include Olympians, Paralympians and senior internationals who represent UEL at national and international university competitions. In 2012, three of our scholars, Adam Gemili (Sprinting), Gemma Gibbons (Judo) and Sophie Cox (Judo), were chosen to represent Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
