My point about the nostalgia glasses is that this show actually looks like we all thought the 90's show did, in other words it is on par with the image we have on our heads of the original one. Also props for finally give my boi Scott Justice
In the last episode called Graduation Day, Professor X was hit with a device which made his powers go haywire. He was already sick, weakened and was near death. Magneto came, amplified his telepathic link to Lilandra of the Shi’ar. She came and took him away to recover. So the public thinks he’s dead. But he’s actually away at the Shi’ar Empire. I really hope to catch up to episode 4 and post them. This show is Epic.
my late teens are back.. 92 I was 18 busy at work. I'd come home every day just to see it get a bowl of cereal and eat with my sisters while watching the X-Men.
I loved your "pre-filter" explanation. That is exactly what this show felt like. And there's a nostalgia for that kid we used to be. Before we started filtering. Before, let's say, cynicism crept in.
Awesome to see you reacting to this. Very much on the same page as you in regards to the impact/importance of the original animated series to my childhood. IMO this is an example of nostalgia done right, not just bait to pull you in but truly feels like a continuation of the source that also has grown alongside us. Excited to follow your journey reacting to the rest of the series as well.
I've been waiting for this one! I was really hoping you'd do this show and I'm glad you're enjoying it as much as we all have been! I'm also soooo excited for next episode, it's my favorite so far and I think you'll really enjoy it!
I agree that this was a good kickoff for the rebooted series, more or less keeping the flavor of the original while improving some of the visual elements and animation. I am caught up now, and I liked episodes 3 and 5 the most so far. They raise the stakes pretty quickly, and things get pretty intense in a few episodes. This is overall a considerably more mature version of the story of mutants, which works pretty well, especially considering how much the fans of the original series have aged
Glad you're reacting to this Nerdy. Gonna look forward to the rest of your show reactions. I really appreciate them getting back so many voice actors from yeh original (even when recast such as how Jean is now voiced by Jennifer Hale her original voice is playing. the UN cotton on the treadmill It's also so weird looking back to only 3 weeks ago as any issues I had with the animation in Ep 1 like snapping between keyframes awkwardly have been cleared up and I guess Ep 1 must’ve been treated as a traditional pilot to prove to Disney which explains any roughness.
Dude, I like your Delicious In Dungeon reactions, and I remember your Netflix One Piece reactions on your other channel with your wife. I'm so happy you're doing this, and can't wait to see your reactions to the next episodes!
I believe Magento was in control of the school from the late 70s to the 80s. By the time Inferno happened, Erik left the school. The New Mutants weren't really listening to him, and he learned he was turned into a baby and raised to believe in Charles' dream. Afterwards; the New Mutants would become the new X-Force, with Cable leading. Charles also returns from space to lead the Uncanny X-Men, and the new X-Men comics
Thing about Morph I don’t get is how do their powers work? They seem to have the powers of the character they changed into, that makes them VERY powerful, they’re literally Rogue & Mystique combined, which seems pretty OP for that character. They’re a shapeshifter, that’s their power. Heck Mystique turning into Wolverine doesn’t make her ‘claws’ adamantium, or any metal.
They can change their form, which means they can simulate physical characteristics. So they can't replicate Storms weather control, or Gambit's kinetic charge, but if somebody's power is "is fat" or "has claws" then they can do that.
Only watch a few episodes back in the day, in my country they TV often just bought and translated like a few seasons so I never could watch the 90’s but I didn’t feel confuse at all since I know this characters or most of them by just cultural osmosis and they make great effort into explain the basic info you need to understand the plot for this new series/season
Don’t know if you watched the 90’s *Goosebumps*, but Slappy the Child Unfriendly Ventriloquist Doll was voiced by Cal Dodd, who was the original Wolverine and reprised the role for this show Little weird that’s two characters who prefer younger women but I digress
i thought about watching this but i dunno if they do a recap or i would have to rewatch the OG show because i dont remember a damn thing about it other than the intro
Boy oh boy, I’m sure you’re gonna enjoy this. I had zero hope, absolutely zero hope, thought it was gonna be just a cash grab nostalgia ridden MCU product… Only to be met with very poignant writing, visuals that both pay homage to its origins while expanding using todays tools… 4 episodes in and really wanting to tune into the next one
@@FuzzyBunnyofInle what’s great about it for me is that I didn’t watch the old show, the comics I used to read were mostly Spider-Man’s… and somehow this show makes me feel nostalgic… it’s so respectful and confident that I can only respect it
I mean Master Mold you “died” in the 90’ series because you were still plugged in the chair when the dam was broken. So yeah I think you overestimated yourself in this situation.
I think literally my only complaint is that Rogue doesn't really sound like the early twenties badass she once did. She sounds more like my 60-something chain-smoking aunt.

He had the horns on his helmet at the end of X-Men: First Class.
Yooo I forgot about that! Nice pull
So, has your wife ever done a Jean Grey cosplay? Because that would be pretty awesome.
Dark Phoenix?
Goblin Queen?
But what about him? Cyclops with a Beard?
@@adamcarlson2192Classic version or Hellfire club remake? Both? Both.
So glad!!! You are doing this! Was waiting for you to watch
They are doing such a good job, it's as good as the nostalgia made me think the old show was.
Morph AND Bon Clay appreciation so close to eachother? Based beyond belief.

oh yeah, let the epic classic journey begin : D

Holy shit, someone else said Jube's.
They did such a great job

The first episode is great. In my opinion, the second episode is better (as a huge fan of the X-Men).
Technically Meganeto had the scarab thing on the helmet in the final scene of Xmen first class. But that was one scene.
Xavier is certainly LEGALLY dead...
no, he'll be back they probably find a way.. he's just off world right now..
@@PinkieloverDo you know what legally dead means?

him rdj and sam jackson

When are we getting the next reactions!?!
You should watch the last episode of the old series. Then you know what happened to the professor

This show is absolutely incredible. It feels like I should be watching it in my pyjama's with a bowl of sugary cereal
Just found a RUclipsr to sub to

Your channels great
So how old are you now? 😅 haha nice shirt btw. 🫶👍

i know this is gonna sound crazy but voice actors age and she’s just fine.
Definitely not woke at all lol.
