In this video we attempt to use science to start the process of freeing up a a stuck Honda CB160 engine. We will be using 30% vinegar from the hardware store and a fountain pump to keep the juice flowing. Wish us luck and enjoy the video.

FOR SCIENCE!!!
Someone had to do it. Otherwise, how would we know!😂😂😂
@@motorcyclerewind exactly! The whole reason we went to the moon was to prove it was or wasn't made of cheese!
😂😂😂
Quite an informative video 👍
I'm dealing with a similar motorcycle engine ( 2 stroke). The motorcycle was in storage outdoors for 5 years. Now, while revamping it, found the engine seized. Upon opening the head found severe corrosion deposits hardened on the cylinder wall. Moisture could have made its way via exhaust and maybe head gasket.
I am soaking the piston and cylinder wall with diesel, WD-40 and 2T oil. After a week, the build-up seems to be loosening and fragmenting... Still a long way to go before I can see the piston moving... Is this good enough? Thanks
Patience is your friend and a hammer and a big block of wood.
@@motorcyclerewind Thanks... That's exactly what I am doing... Hope it pays off.
The cat doesn’t seem too concerned with the experiment. 😮
That cat is not concerned about anything😂 thanks for watching.
get money with amazon links to the equipment your using. That camera was kewl..
I like it. Super affordable. Think it was 20ish dollars. Nidage borescope
I have a 13b rotary totally rusted, so I can't get the eccentric shaft out which is all I wanted from this junk engine. I've heard of this, maybe I should try it or just toss this junk engine and get another one? Maybe you should try recirculating the vinegar with a pump? This is how I "hottanked" my oily v8 (not rusted just oily)
I would give it a shot. I am using a fountain pump to recirculate the vinegar. In the earlier video I show the setup thanks for watching.
Vinegar and baking soda got a rust stain off my SS sink. Add BS next time 😁
Will do. Thanks for watching.
Yea no
Agreed... I would not recommend that anyone do this to an engine they care about. But if your friend has one in the scrap pile, I say give it a shot for science! Thanks for watching!
