BMW M140i B58 MPE Sounds and Pure Driving POV (No Talking)

Today we take this 2018 BMW M140i with the infamous B58 and M Performance Exhaust for a spirited drive. Hopefully this POV drive can capture the real sensation of what driving a M140i is likely you’ve never experienced one before. These M140’s are a force to be reckoned with and are super fast. This one in particular even comes with the M Performance Exhaust, although it does sound a little muffled. So this car could have the OPF filter which is why it sounds a little quiet.

This sounds great! I'm currently deciding between the Remus or the MPE. Unsure which to opt for!
My audio isn’t great so imagine it sounds twice as good in person! MPE came standard with this box. It’s best to see a comparison video, I think the Remus is a bit more raspy or throaty sounding if that makes sense?
You can tell if it has the opf filter if you look at the front. Cars that dont have it have the passenger side grill on the front bumper is filled in and opf cars have both open
I never knew that, thanks for letting me know! How did you find that out and what’s the reasoning for OPF cars to have both grills open?

I’m definitely getting an MPE for mine after watching this. Where are these roads though? They look great. From the material of houses I’m guessing somewhere in the cotswolds?

Ahhh no way! This is also very local to me and I use it for all my videos when doing reviews, I love the twisties heading our past McDonald’s!
Which M cars do you have?
@@NathanMannin yes the bit between McDonald's towards the Cross roads. You can kinda do a triangle if you go right and head up to village and then turn towards right through it heading back towards main town. Trying not to use village names and so on to keep it private. Currently just the Manual M2 right now. Used to have E92 M3 and a F87 M4.
@@Nike427 Are you on about turning left out of McDonald’s then doing an immediate right? Quite the CV of M cars you’ve had then! How do you compare going from an M4 to an M2, do you feel shortchanged or is it more dynamic to drive? I’ve always wanted a Z4M Coupe myself

Is it all stock? I got mperformace exhaust but i dont hear much pops and bangs 😐 maybe i got to set up something?
Yes this is all stock, this was a pre OPF car, what year is yours?
Just reminds of my 2017 one with mpe ....my 2019 one sounds a bit shite really 🤔
How do they compare, John? Did the 2017 one have more pops and crackles? Because this one is an early 2018 model, but it still sounds quite muffled when you hear the pops out of the exhaust 😵

My 2017 one really did pop and bang ....massive up shift farts ...when booting it ....my 2019 is much better shadow edition...it was actually built june 2019 so prob one of last ones made but has ppf anti fun sponge in the exaust muting the sound 🙄
@@johndickinson5422 Was that 2017 with MPE standard, no other exhaust modifications? I fear this 2018 I have must’ve been one of the first with the PPF’s as it doesn’t pop and bang at all, just a few little muffled burbles on the overrun : (

It just a mpe ...back box ...have you tried traction mode one press of the button I do get a few bangs with that till the exaust gets warm ...what ever you do dont hold and press it as your on your own...it equals going through a hedge backward mode 🤣😂🤣
