They forgot to show us the “after” picture!! Still this does seem labor and time intensive. For a railroad like CN that has hundreds if not thousands of locos you could make a lifelong career of doing nothing but washing locos and still not do all of them!!!

Canadian National should have a purpose built train wash, this method shown is labour intensive.

Should use decreased first, then rinse, then wash.
Shouldn't Step # 4 actually be Step # 1? Makes more sense to get the grease and oils off before scrubbing it down.
Cleaning by hand is tedious.
