Good thing we have Car Pal so I know exactly where I should invest in the transportation industry. Train U-turns will change the world!
Literally
Well yes, but actually no
literally lol
@Titanus Gojira no
For the better, right? . . . *For the better, right?*
These GTA maps bring me waaay back, thank you Car Pal!

When Car Pal uploads a video, your day gets 100x better, keep up the good content!
6:20 - When a movie plot is soul crushing and the plot twist hits you like a train. 😳
I just love the “ONION pacific” trains!
sanata feet is just weird
2:30 The friction coefficient is probably programmed as a function of wheel type and surface type. The cars have all sorts of tire types and are expected by players and programmers alike to travel on all sorts of surfaces. But, because programmers don't typically take the time to compute formulas they don't think will ever be used, the flanged steel wheels likely only have the one programed expectation: to be a steel wheel on a steel rails which provides incredibly low rolling resistance. Even though it's now on pavement, because it doesn't know better, it moves just as smoothly as before.
Now as for why it bounced backwards after hitting the tunnel support five seconds prior in the video rather than just stopping, my guess is the coupler on the locomotive might be omitted from a collision formula due to collisions being mandatory for it's function as a coupler. Because the coupler met a wall and not another coupler, it had nothing it recognized it could transfer energy to which translates to no loss of inertia, hence the bounce.
Either way, this video is "off the rails"!
wow, ok that is a very impressive explanation. Truly terrified...
Nah, it was the ghost of "pHySiCs"!
@@nagesy4077 Terrified? LOL, thank you! I think.
@@RocketoPunchee Truely, these visits from our corporeal comrade always make for great entertainment.
My guess would just be air flow in the tunnel, but sure

My thoughts: Oh no!
Also my thoughts: *OH YES*
5:36 I love this simple scene: A bunch of people who clearly don't know how to park shopping at *Moist* Grocery.
I'm starting to think he just wants to use trains to destroy cars, but in unusual ways.
Perhaps
Interesting theory...I'd like to see more videos so we have more evidence
but thats just a theory, A GAME THEORY! (sorry had to do it)

Nice trains, nice cars, nice crashes, as always:)
2:25
that reversing train did exactly what you said the U-turn would make it do, go the other way very quickly
who cares about the "laws" of physics
5:13: oh look Steve and George survived
Steve and George were my childhood when I watched this channel!
Wow. What are the odds of being in that awkward condition of being a target?
CarPal: All the time.
Nice vid as usual. Shame trains can't u-turn easily.
2:32 that just means the U-Turn worked!
This is your most satisfying video to date, mate! There's just something raw about a several hundred tonne industrial hunk of metal going wrong, absolutely loved it
I'm so happy this channel exists
The train threading the Needle into a tunnel is like a Final Destination scenario.
I wonder how many tries it took to get it right. So bad ass

That precious Evo survived!
Carpal is the best...he simulates almost all scenarios we can think of..🤣🤩🤩

"Thomas the Tank Engine Theme Earrape" should play every train crash
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤gbvcvvevwcghnh
@@AnjaliSharma-wu1if bro speak normal English
No, it really shouldn't. Ear rape is a really annoying part of the internet. It's a video that is usually so low on the volume that you have to turn it up to 100% just to hear it, and then out of nowhere it gets as loud as possible. It's not funny, it's not creative, and it's certainly not cool or entertaining in any way. And another thing: People who are prone to panicking over loud noises could quite easily have a heart attack.
@@Zayne1013womp womp
@@rxttwxler I don't much see this as a "womp womp" moment. Allow me to repeat the last part of my rambling: "People who are prone to panicking over loud noises could quite easily have a heart attack." That's what I hate most about ear rape. Not even the fact that it's loud, that part is just a minor annoyance. But it's when someone who is prone to panicking watches an ear rape video without knowing it's an ear rape video. 90% of ear rape videos don't even give warnings, and even if they do, it's usually hidden in the description, which next-to no one reads. I don't see giving someone a heart attack (intentionally or not) as "womp womp" I see it as messed up.
2:15 reminds me of that one scene in mission impossible
Completely
0:48 I like how the cop went for an insurance scam
I love the "make a left here" :)
When the BeamNG driver is The Dread Pirate Roberts... 🤪
Extremely useful. If your use case is derailment. But for that, it's unbeatable.
Also the shots in the tunnel were *lit* 😎
"Onion Pacific." Man, I love this channel.
5:00 The future is upon us, boys... With the invention of train u-turns, we will be able to move entire buildings with ease!

They need a bit more train ing. don't they?
You really had a (loco)motive to type that?
Nah. I just derailed from my original train of thoughts.

Meanwhile, in one of the cars:
*Look the f--k out CJ, THE TRAIN!*
For some reason, I hear Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, in my head. I imagine the train with a low slow voice, singing the part, can I drive your road tonight. Then after he comes to a stop. He says, sorry fellas, I must have been going a little too fast. While the cars are moaning and oh and ah, in there smaller voices, while they all chime in saying trains don’t belong on the roads, they belong on the track.

Train scenes in action movies be like:
"C'mon! Move that 2 ton upside down potato!"
Train comes barreling through the tunnel, taking everything with it
"This isn't what I had in mind!"

0:13 me on my way to tell my mom I went the bed
ah yes its very normal to see trains driving of the tracks
5:45 THIS IS CRAZY 🤣
2:42 I like how the train is rolling backwards uphill😂
I like how people in real-life are horrified to see a car turned upside-down whereas here, trains de-rail and cars explode yet everything seems to be normal.
In a virtual world of no consequences, chaos is the excepted result.
7:06 Cue the Despicable me music.
Thanks for the comment. was worried it’s real
That gas station was like the opposite of a Michael Bay film.
Gas stations rarely explode in real life because of something known as stoichiometry. Vapors collecting around the pumps might ignite but the bulk of the stored fuel doesn't explode since it doesn't have enough oxygen to burn, so at worst you'd likely see flames jetting out of the broken pipes, at least only until any underground pumps stop.
@@soundspark which makes sense, but is also the kind of thing Michael Bay would ignore, because... well. You know. :)

When I first start watching one of your videos, I always give a like---I already know the rest of it is going to be good before I even see it
The system does not translate the earth with sod, flowers, grasses into account and when the train derails, unfortunately there is no big bunches of ruts being ejected into the air by the heavy train. Plus, I would think it would really dig in to the point the stop would be quite abrupt with tons of earth in front of the get-a-way trains. The ghost physics later showed me what you are limited by with the software.
it's hard to slow down and turn when the train is exceeding 100+ mph
that intro had me dying LMAO
