@Mortismal Gaming - I hope more of the viewers agree, and stats reflect this. But I like the approach when you mix newer and older games. Some older games are worth mentioning.
To all have a nice time gaming!

This game is seriously underrated ! First time I got it, I played the tutorial and after that I couldn't play any longer and hated it... Then I decided to give it a second try about a year later or so... What a blast I had !!!!!! This game is now among my favorites.
The story is pretty interesting even if not the best, the gameplay is pretty great but the real star here is the world... You can go in many places, climb some pretty incredible places and get amazing views, you can use different costumes to hide, the world is pretty vertical (not always but quite a lot). What blew my mind is how creative you can be with some situations which makes it a perfect open world (well, kind of open?). Many things to find and discover.
I really hope you're enjoying the game as much as I did !
Really glad you're reviewing it and giving it a chance.

This game is my hidden gem. I dont know what is so special about it, but it resonates with my mind and heart. There are quite a lot of side quest which you need to complete to develop your skills. Even years after I have fond memories for this one.

So excited to have you dive into this one, as I have been insisting, annoyingly probably, that you should give it a try. Seven is a pretty unique game, i got to it once it came out, because it was made from former CDPR devs and being a Witcher fan, i wanted them to succeed. Ive finished it three times i think, two with the expansion and i can say that, for Me, it is one of the more memorable.."vibes" i got, while playing an RPG. I love everything about thsi game, the variety of approach, the dynamic between Teriel and the Demon, the plot and the setting. It feels like playing Elex 1 and this one, back to back, for me, keep both in the same vibe, for lack of a better word. I had One bug, making a sidequest essentially not being able to complete (which i did, on my second pl, couple of years ago).
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it, Mortym. :)

Thanks for the video. Varity of approaches gives me "choices matter" vibes. In most cases it's just "good" or "evil" with the only difference being the cutscene, or cutscene dialogue. Onward to 300k. All glory to the algorithm.

Glad to see you finally got it to work. At the time, becasue of the vericality, open end game play, and the amount of NPCs living in the world(how they react night/day)I basically said it is a combo of AC/Deus Ex/Batman/Dishonored and they nailed it all. The crafting and combat are by far the weakest but its still was such an ambitious project that i wish they would have gotten to do a sequel. The amount of depth of how to approach many situations is crazy. Dont forget to use disguises ; / Also, make sure to check out the DLC which is more of the same, but another very cool location and decent story to explore.

  • @robinmattheussen2395
    @robinmattheussen2395 8 месяцев назад +1

I ended up really liking this game. It took me a little bit to get into, but it's very unique and actually rather ambitious. Yes, some of the RPG elements are a bit lacking (I'm never fond of fixed protagonists), but the game makes up for it by giving us something quite unique. You'll have to excuse some of the dodgier writing as well.
And I can't really hate an RPG that takes place in a prison colony, that's gotta be some sort of rule.
The biggest shame to me is that I had a showstopping bug in the free DLC, preventing me from going any further into that part of the game. I never found a fix. That being said, it was free DLC and I still got almost 40 hours out of the game, so I can't really complain.

Oh, man, recently I was thinking about picking up this game again and now I see this video. A few years ago I've played it for a couple of hours and it was OK but was a bit bland at least at the starter area that I've experienced. It reminded me of Shadow Tactics: Blades of The Shogun, but the pretty Japanese setting was replaced with a bit generic fantasy/steam/cyber punk one which I did not find that appealing. The story might have as well started with this opening line: "In the lands of Generia". But It was OK and I did not encounter any bugs at all.

Seven is one of those games that I love and resent at the same time.
I enjoyed it a lot, loved many of it's aspects, but I abhor some of the decisions they made. For example, you are a THIEF, in an island which is a prison for criminals... yet there's no economy at all. You can steal whatever you want but every trader have like 20 coins to trade you with, also your inventory gets filled super fast, and most of the things that are worth stealing can't be sold at a good price (because of what I said) or weight 2/3's of your inventory.
For me, the game is amazing because of the stealth and the movement, but the setting was wasted and a lot of mechanics are half assed. Luckily after the patches it can actually be played but when it released 90% of the missions had some type of bug depending on your rig and there were areas where the game simply crashed, which meant that if you had to go through them to complete something you were locked out of completing the game.
I hope you'll enjoy it, and I can't wait to see what you think of it. I do give props to the studio for making a techno-futuristic version of Australia.

Even tho I specialize into necromancy and conjuring. I tried respecting my character and changing the alignment but nothing happened. I can't respect for free anymore. I lost interest in this one half way through, think it had something to do with lack of player power progression so everything felt samey after a while and story didn't carry enough.
