3 greatest legends in their fields, Assets of our Country... Iss mazmoon ko parhney ka lutf to buhat aaya tha magar aur ziyada mehzooz Zia Sahib ne ke kiya :-)
I barely got 10% but determined to understand it all! Even tho I don't understand all the colorful phraseology, I can recognize a true gem and a classic as this tribute is, of Ibn-e-Insha to Faiz Ahmed Faiz
I'm a student of Zia sahib at NAPA in Karachi, that is very much him and the accent is very much put on :D just check out some of the many other videos of his on youtube.
Don't know if its jst me but I have noted that Faisalabadians have a unique style of accent in language which allows them to speak even the serious lines in a comedic way.
This was written for Afqar magazine's special Faiz number. Faiz was alive at that time. Insha ji loved Faiz sb and always talk very fondly of him in his books. Great people. Legends of our past.
He is deliberately reading it in this thick Punjabi accent in which Cheecha Watni Sahib used to speak. Zia Mohiyuddin himself explain in this clip if you listen it in full. Very enjoyable indeed. Thanks for up-loading.
Well, I can´t do anything about it. but it is him. He used a bold punjabi accent. But in the beginning and at the end, he spoke normally. There u can deffinetely recognize him.
Well I fully agree this is the voice of Zia Sb and 2ndly Insha Sb was a great poet. Few of the ciritics are of the view that faiz Sb copied few the ideas from Insha Sb and for that they have valid reasons in support of their argument.
mere bhaiyoo!! It is him!! Believe it or not!! I have another clip, I will upload it soon which he spoke deliberately in a thick punjabi accent. then u can match the voices. In fact as i said Zia Sahib explains why he has used this accent and at the end when he tells his family-joke he speaks in his normal accent and u can recognize his voice.
@hafnium579, sfeb405ip and BelligerentPacifist: I had already said it but I can repeat it anyway. First of all: it is Zia Muhiuddin himself, there is no doubt about it. I have a good collection of him, and it is a part of it. 2. The important thing is that Zia Muhiuddin speaks in the beginning and at the end that this accent is only to make it more realistic (in accordance with the text) and to make it even funnier. And the last part when he tells the joke, he speaks in his original urdu accent
It is him! He has spoken in a bold panjabi accent on purpose. In the beginning and at the very end you can liste to his original voice. And he even explains it that he has spoken in this accent and voice on purpose.

Oh okay thanks for clarifying. I was wondering how Zia Mohiuddin sounded like a native Hindko speaker talking in Urdu.
Thanks for uploading. I love both; Faiz and Insha : ) Though, they're very different poets.
10/10 Great Asset!
Best one 🙏🙏🙏💞💞💞💞
Legends will always be in our hearts

@gullkhan0 No, of Ibn e Insha and Faiz Ahmed Faiz Sahib...
he tells it at the end why at about 4:55..... it´s to make it even funnier.. and realistic... probably he wants to show his skills : )
@TheRajamaharaja Bhai jan man jaian yeah Zia sahib hi hian

it can be a mistake.
Yes he i agree doesn't sound like him
Why is this thick Panjabi accent?
oh,shit man
This doesn't sound like Zia Muhiuddin.
This is not Zia Mohyeddin voice.
It is him! He has spoken in a bold panjabi accent on purpose. In the beginning and at the very end you can liste to his original voice. And he even explains it that he has spoken in this accent and voice on purpose.
These all were communists
