I agree but a lot of rap Artists like Artists from various genres. Phil Collins did a song with Bone Thugs N Harmony, Dmx had a song called I Can Feel It, Big Boi is a big fan of Kate Bush, Jayz did a collab album with Linkin Park it's actually nothing new and I encourage people to listen to different genres.
