I almost bought this version of hi-nu on a whim as a one unit thinking it would spare me buying hi-nu and hws parts separately. Good thing I didn't because clear plastic is a big turn off for me and it would destroy me if I came home and opened the box. They should have stated "clearer" that it's a clear version on the box like they usually do.
I ordered my Hi Nu Ver Ka a couple days ago and it should be here any day now. I do have a question - do you paint your gunplas or add any "metal detail" kits to them? I wish to know if you'd advise taking the armor off a completed kit to paint it or painting the pieces individually first then building it and finishing with a topcoat? Same goes for metal aftermarket parts - can they be easily applied to a completed build to give the kit a stylish finish? All of the very finest looking builds use the metal parts and I hope to add them to my finished MG Hi Nu VK!
I love the Nu Gundam HWS but I don't like Hi-Nu Gundam so eventually I plan on getting the HGUC Nu Gundam HWS since it's basically the only other Nu Gundam that comes with the HWS parts.
I kind of hate that style of pre-articulated hands. I recently build the Ver.Ka Sazabi and 3 of the fingers broke after not moving them all that much and i had to glue them awkwardly.
man this really cool, it's still really hard for me to spend the money though. I do really like that box art and I agree the sparkly clear is a bit off putting.

They really need to reissue the HWS.
