Be careful with smaller 10440, 14500 and 18350 cells. Auto Charge mode might select 1A - 1.5A based on the internal resistance of the cell. This may exceed the maximum charging current recommended by the manufacturer. It may be safer to use Manual Charge mode for small cells and select 250mA or 500mA. It's great for charging larger cells. Small cells work too. I just prefer to select 250mA for 10440's manually.
Great review! Have you noticed it not fully recharging the battery sometimes after doing the capacity test? And does it keep beeping when finished charging a battery or is it once and done? I visited your RUclips page and saw a lot of reviews that you've done that I'd like to check out, Subscribed!
Like! A At the end of the charge (-ΔV), this device goes into trickle charge mode (maintaining maximum charge with low current) ????? And after the discharge of Vapcell S4 Plus on the machine, without touching it, it can immediately charge itself after the discharge ????? Who knows help. It seems that this is the key value for me among two (three) devices.
+LiquidRetro I think I’m going to order one of these to allow me to buy some flashlights that don’t have built-in charging (such as some of the Convoy models), and, also, to better monitor the charging status of the 18650 and 21700 batteries that I use in my Sofirn and Wurkkos lights that do have built-in charging. Question: Since this doesn’t have storage mode, what method would you suggest to set a Li-ion batt to 75-80% for storage? Can I use the discharge mode to manually drain it down to that level?
Using the discharge mode would probably work, or just don't charge to full. I don't really use these features often myself since I live in a climate with the possibly of storms that could knock out power year round.
Question: how do you know if an AA NiMHNicd battery is healthy? I've run repair and capacity but it just runs and runs and never tells me the battery is good or bad...perhaps it's in the numbers, but I don't know what to look for. Any advice? Thanks
Hey mate, watching from Australia 🇦🇺 👍. Love your reviews. Quick question regarding chargers especially for your typical sized flashlight batteries 26650,21700 etc.. I'm wanting something suitable to charge on the go via usb in the vehicle rather than having a separate power supply like this one has. Can you suggest anything suitable that can still charge at a decent rate ? Cheers
May I ask smth? If I want to test 2 batteries at the same time, in slot 1 and 4 of course. Did the result still remain on the display if I change to look at other cells? Or it just remain there until I pull the battery in that slot out? I mean, I just want to put 2 batteries in, test both at the same time, go to sleep, then woke up with the result in both of them. Not native in English so don’t really know you gonna get it or not. Thanks.
question. can I put 4 - 21700 batteries in this unit push a few buttons , come back when its done and get the voltage , capacity and internal resistance ?
Is this charger reliable? how is it now since its been 1 year now. Is the real capacity checker accurate? Pls. respond because I need this kind of charger which can charge any batteries plus with accurate capacity tester at reasonable price. Thanks
@@LiquidRetro I have some batteries that have high mah like vapecell N40 4000 mah. The charger says it only has 2500 mah. Also a keep power 26650 6000 mah and the charger says 3500 mah. Is the charger defective?

Yep I do the same
great review, big thumbs up for actually measuring the max cell length (interesting to know that it measured at 76.2mm compared to advertised 75mm)
Great review! All the important information and no bla bla . Thanks.
I love this charger I've had it for about 4 months. thanks for the review hard to find on this
Thanks for the review. Great job 👍👍
Great review. Thank you.
I just bought one at Wurkkos flashlight for $38.00 free shipping 2 weeks delivery
Nice enjoy
Excellent. Thanks
have you tried the v2.0? if yes how it works? whats your feedback?

The 'ol .. "wiener in the jelly jar" trickery. Classic
Do you know if the sound can be removed? It's the only thing I don't like about the charger Thank you
There isn't a way to remove it via buttons, you would need to open it up. Do at your own risk.

Resistance will increase and useful life will be short

Check out my most recent Xtar reviews. Not quite as fast but it would be my recommendation based on what I have tried
The Nitecore ums2 takes 2x 21700's (that's what I use), works via USB and will charge 1x 21700 at 3 amps.
@@countryside_guy Cheers mate the ums2 was actually one I've been considering

I'm struggling to understand a bit the results will display until you remove the cell or disconnect from power in.
@@LiquidRetro 🙏Appreciate it, that's exactly what I want to know. Buying them asap.
Hi Can you do a capacity test on NiMh Batteries too?
Yes
Why do you have to take the battery down to 80% when storing? Don't they lose charge just sitting?
It's better to start at a storage voltage. Battery university has some good info if you want to look more at it
Would you still recommend it in 2022 ? Or is there an updated version ?
Yes I would, there is an updated version coming I think that may be able to charge longer cells.
@@LiquidRetro Do you know when the new version is expected ?
That I don't
Just saw on Facebook they say V2 is now available

I think so you might have to take out and reinsert at the end to get readings.
данное устройство умеет автоматически заряжать после выполнения функции разряд???

It's my main charger still I use it probably weekly. Highly recommend it
@@LiquidRetro Wow Thanks for confirming that! I gonna buy this over the nitecore sc4 which is currently in the same price in my country. Thanks!
Great choice in my opinion
@@LiquidRetro Hi its me again 😁In terms of accuracy, how is it compare to the opus c3100? Thanks man😄
I don't have the opus to compare it to but I think it's fairly accurate
How does it deliver more current to the batteries than the 5a that the power supply does to it?
Power supply is 12V 5A, which is 60W. Battery got charge at 4.2V 3A each, which is 12.6W. 4 slots would be 50.4W.
Does this charger tell you the battery mAh?
It can test the capacity yes

The display will show it for that channel. These take a long time to do, so if you don't see it keep waiting

@@LiquidRetro Thank you! I did the test and got some weird stuff I pretty much didn't understand. Guess I'm sticking with auto mode for now lol

Yes, it fully charges the battery, discharges it and then charges again.
looks nice but I will stay better with my imax b6 ac v2. Even if I have payed 10 usd extra compared with this charger.

Not sure, this is V1

Hi, good video. Can I change Celsius readings to Fahrenheit readings?
No. I don't believe so
How is it compared to the Nitecore UMS4 ?
Sorry I don't have that one to compare
