Hi Nancy. To answer your question, Cat's Meow is worked using the intarsia technique. When you carry the yarn that is tapestry. Tapestry makes your project much thicker and sometimes if you are carrying a dark color you will be able to see it underneath. Intarsia is when you don't carry any yarn but that requires you to have a separate bobbin for the color changes. You can determine how many bobbins you will need by looking vertically. If you have a color change of more than 1 stitch you need a different bobbin. If the back doesn't need to be clean as in the inside of a sweater than you don't need bobbins, and you can carry the yarn outside in floats. Be careful not to pull too tight in your color changes so project doesn't pucker. Good luck. I'm sure it will be beautiful. Hugs. ❣
Glad to hear that your governor is helping the people of Florida. I hope and pray that all the other states governors help their people as well. So many lives loss and devastation. Some towns completely loss everything 😢😢😢😢 and families.
Sorry to hear about the people who lost their homes, and shop and restaurants. They will all help each other and be there for each other too. I got a wool winder today, it was half price at Lincraft. Looking forward to trying it out. 🙂
Nancy, Lifting all those effected by this Hurricane in Prayer. I pray all will have power restored soon. You are blessed to have a full home generator but you've worked your whole life for these things. Please stay safe and Give Sadie a huge hug for me.
Hello there Nancy! I love your daily visits, you keep me company! Yes, I saw Gov. Desantis visit to Steinhatchee on RUclips today and saw him tell Linda he would provide a mobile kitchen until she can rebuild Roy's Restaurant back!!! That hurricane was one for the history books. It was so far reaching with the devastation. All the states straight up from Florida through Tennessee have catastrophic damage. Some of the towns it went through were completely wiped away. So sad. See you tomorrow I hope!!😘
It was good to see you. Good news about what the governor is doing for Miss Linda's restaurant, that is wonderful. Can't wait to see your cats meow. I want to do another one for me when I have time ❤. Take care. Hope your get your power back soon.
👋 Nancy! Glad to hear you are making progress on the "meowing cat". 😺 🐱 lol Great news from your governor! Clean up is gonna take a community effort-to be sure. Can't watch the coverage cause the death toll keeps rising. I work for a large pharmacy and there are now 6 states that we cannot deliver meds to. 😑 😞
Hi Nancy and sweet Mavey! I think when Laura was working on her cat’s meow blanket, the number of bobbins that she used increased as she went along. She talks about it in some of her past videos. Hope you get power soon, but thank goodness for your Generac. Saw many videos of the devastation everywhere and my heart breaks for all affected. I wouldn’t know where to begin. Hoping Miss Billie will let us know if she’s okay. Luv you my dear friend❤
Hi Nancy, I am so glad you was not hit hard with the storm. I know it is hard to go without electricity but you did good getting the generator. The clock you remember on your grandmother's dresser was called an anniversary clock if it was in the glass dome. Wish you luck when you go through the things at the other house. I hope you don't lose a lot due to the storm. Thinking of you friend.
I have had 4 rum cells this summer before we moved, we just moved a couple months ago and made about $4000 out of 4 rummer cells, but it wasn't enough everything else. I said to the curb and gave it away. I was not bringing it back in the house. If you're selling it, there's no reason to bring it back in the house. If you don't need it, hope everything turns out. Okay, for you, God bless and thanks for sharing. Rummage sales are a lot of work.
I’m sorry to hear about the devastation my family lives in Sarasota I don’t know if they had as much damage but it’s still horrible I hope the best for you and your family that hurricane was scary by the looks and climate change is happening my 🙏for u
Hi my Nance! It's going to take a while...a long while before things start shaping up after the hurricane. Many prayers 🙏. Glad you're back in the "dog" room...So glad to see your videos with all the issues. ❤❤❤❤sending love and hugs 💕
Hopefully your power comes on soon. Parts of North Carolina needs some prayers🙏🏻 so much devastation. Those colors are so pretty. I think your variegated you need is back ordered from Herrschner’s. Stay safe❤
I’m so happy to see you’re doing okay. Thank goodness for the generator! Herrschners does have a lot of nice yarns these days. It’s gotten a lot softer since it’s being made in Turkey. Your cats meow is going to be so pretty.
I ended up using a Della Q Oh Snaps XXL bag to help keep the bobbins from tangling. It has a row of snaps on top so I could keep the bobbins separated. It isn’t perfect but it did help me from the severe tangling with the Cat’s Meow. It was a fun blanket to make and I did whiz through it once I found my groove. Your blanket will be beautiful! Have you heard from Billie? I’m wondering how she did with the storm. ❤️🧶

Always enjoy our visits 😊. I like Herrschners yarn too and it is static for me too. Wonder what makes their yarn do that. Luv ya❤❤
Good question!
Have you seen the video of the governor? I watched and was wondering if that’s your friend Linda that spoke a little bit in the video
I have not seen it because I didn’t have television, but I have heard about it. I’m catching up on RUclips right now.
Just noticed the trim on your door in background is coming off at top
I don’t see any trim coming off not sure what you were talking about. Maybe it was the angle of the camera.
