Another fun fact: while this song is about a relationship between a man and a woman in which a woman leaves her lover, Lev Rochlin was shot by his wife and Putin and his wife divorced. It also has a secret meaning in the lyrics.
Also, a more detailed and old interpretation (rough translation from russian): Boots - a reference to "Jacobean boots", which offered to train Napoleon (rely on the working class). Meaning - the adoption of a new paradigm, ideology. It's always your communist ideology in the video, Cap. The robot is Asian socialism, which has degenerated into an unknown fuck like Juche, Khmer Rouge and state capitalism. The man is the USSR. I had completely forgotten about this gem
I love the little details of how each scientist all have to have different features. One is bald, one is balding, one has all their hair. They all have glasses that are each distinct shapes, each has a mustache of a different style. One has his pants rolled up at the bottom, the other tucked his pants into his socks or something, the other is normal. They gave them all sorts of shared features that are distinct between each one of them. Not to mention their height and weight. The detail that went into all that is part of why I love animated videos like this.

Yeah... this makes far more sense on the Rasputin version... which is kind of hilarious because this is original and that one was a dub. On the other hand, there's no telling how many more views this one got because of the Rasputin one.
To be fair, a lot of songs have music videos that don't necessarily add up with the lyrics. One example I always annoyingly have in mind was Hozier - Take Me To Church, where the vid managed to convince everyone [incorrectly] that the song is about homophobia in russia.

The video was based on fake stereotypes born out of propaganda anyway, the "bad boy, strong man" Putin. it's not like we didn't know he was a dictator before invading Ukraine, just take the video for what it is. The song is mediocre at best, and the video quickly loses its novelty value after 2-3 rewatch. Just take it for what it is, I say.

people who saw which ever version first will automatically think the one they saw first was better, it's basic human psychology because they grow a connection with the video and song and anything else they don't recognize they will feel off about. truth is both are good but the original is better because the beat and lyrics were literally made to sync up and its slightly more satisfying.
The dub is better, this song is just a bit meh and the video doesn't match it. The rasputin dub fits and is a better song.

This is my guess of the history and the video:
A guy meet and fell in love with a girl in a dance floor. However, that same girl either broke up with him or did it by cheating on him. This broke him, and he thought that maybe if he could dance as well as he did when he met her, she would come back. I think it shows how great this work is that Ra Ra Rasputin was able to go so well with it, though it may overshadow the original efforts done. However, I would think that giving the permission was a great idea in the long run since the animation is seeing more people than it may have on its own... And others may end up here thanks to the credit given. :)
Ra Ra Rasputin is a very funky beat, but this one is also quite as catchy and well done. It's apple and oranges, yet still fruit. :) Fruits have their respective niches, and it makes life better thanks to the diversity.
