24 hours in Yokohama Japan!
Yokohama is a popular cruise ship port.
It is the second largest city in Japan with 3.8 million residents. Located south of Tokyo, the cruise port area seems very quiet compared to Tokyo.

Things to do:
Walk the Waterfront and Yamashita Park
Walk the top of the Cruise Terminal Building
Chinatown (shops open later in the day)
The Red Brick Warehouse
Cup Noodles Museum
NYK Hikawa Maru 日本郵船氷川丸
Yokohama Marine Tower
Find a good restaurant (Google maps)
The practical stuff:
There are several stores street side just before entering the terminal area. You can pick up essential supplies and souvenirs in this area.
Fit Care Depot is like Walgreens and sells aspirin and other medicines.
Lawson’s and 7-11 are Convenience stores and don’t sell medicines.
Tip: Use Google translate to know what you are buying!
Transportation:
It’s important to know the distance and costs from your airport or Tokyo to Yokohama.
If you are flying into/out of Tokyo, the Yokohama Cruise port is between 25 minutes (Haneda Airport) and 1 hour 45 minutes (Narita Airport) away by Taxi. Taxis, Trains and busses are available. Check Google Maps for your preferred transportation method.

To/from Narita Airport to Yokohama
Taxi takes appx 1 hr 45 min and costs 35,000 yen
To/from Haneda Airport to Yokohama
Taxi takes appx 20 minutes and costs 7800 yen
To/from Ginza to Yokohama cruise port Taxi takes appx one hour and costs 15,000 yen
To/from Hyatt Regency Yokohama to cruise terminal Taxi takes appx 5 minutes and costs 500 yen

Hi! There are several options and it will depend on your budget and time you are leaving the airport. The most expensive but easiest is a taxi. It will take around 1 1/2 to 2 hours and cost around $200 to $250 USD. Uber does not operate in Japan. You can also take the Narita Express train directly from Narita to Yokohama Station without transfers for a lower cost. If you are taking a cruise, consider booking an airport to hotel transfer thru your travel agent or the cruise line directly (It is generally $75pp one way on a tour bus). There is also an airport bus to several locations around Tokyo, however it sometimes only operates until 6pm. Google maps is really great for looking up train departures, cost estimates and transportation options. Good luck!
