The Ashanti peoples are the most popular tribe in Africa because of their sacrifice for Ghana and Ghanaians as a whole, they played a big role and live a good legacy not only their wealth and power, and because of their name they're most respected in Ghana
The name of the current Asante King (Asantehene), Otumfour Osei-Tutu II. The Asantes fought with the British four times in an attempt to drive them away from the area. 1824, battle of Nsamankow in which the British governor was killed. 1826, the battle of Dodowa 1874, Sagranti War, 1900, Yaa Asantewaa war.
lol! Fun Fact: Obiri Yeboah the uncle of Osei Tutu the founder actually brought the clans together to form states and when he passed away and Osei Tutu became the chief of his Uncle Obiri Yeboah’s town, he and Okomfo Anokye brought the states together to form a kingdom kingdom which later became an Empire
We know who we are ,hebrews scattered in 70ad by Romans sent into 400yrs of service to the Gentiles ,to be a light out od a dark place. Now we must be about gatherung ourselved, loving our own, giving lour all for one another.
What are you talking about, make your research well before you pull the camera to talk, the name of the king is not "king Asante hene" king means Asante hene
You intentionaly mispronounce the name of our Asante Kings to disrespect us and turn around to sheepishly apologize. Some of us can see through your hypocritical hype. Please why dont you promote your own tribe and nation.
Your assumptions are completely off base. I mispronounced the names because, like many people, I am still learning. Your suggestion that I should only promote my own tribe and nation shows a narrow-minded view. Embracing and respecting all cultures doesn't mean abandoning my own. Perhaps if you spent more time educating and less time attacking, we could all learn something valuable.

I grew up hearing about the Ashanti name from my grandmother. My people are Jamaican Maroons, and the names (Comanche) stuck in their psyche.
