toro55ful the vieilles charues performance is great but i find the recording not to be the best , it comes from the video itself maybe , the bass are highly compressed . Hellfest 2013 and obviously the brixton live sound better to me .but all there live are great anyway :)

Gojira are amazing. All very talented, and one of the most unique bands in metal. The drummer, Mario, is indeed amazing, and so are the other musicians. Mario though is always a highlight, his technique is unique and he always delivers. From this band, there are also plenty of songs to check, "Flying whales", "Silvera" and "Heaviest matter of the Universe" come to mind. Great reaction as always my dudes. :) EDIT - They are French!
Can't recommend Gojira enough. One of their tracks that never seems to be reacted to is Vacuity. Beautifully shot vid to go with the song. Also, despite being an awesome live band, go for studio versions so you don't have any parts cut out.
Probably the most genuine reaction I've ever seen. This band will open up your eyes. Your soul likes it but your mind sees it's not radio garbage. So you're not supposed to like it. More gojira.

Now I’ve branched out more and listen to everything, between mongoalian throat singing to hip hop. React channels like you have helped me rediscover the bands of my youth. Its amazing! Gojira is such a great band. Their lyrics are very interesting, all the members are superb musicians. I've seen them live three times now and they never disappoint. IMO Flying Whales and Vacuity are their best songs, but it's all great. I was so proud of them when they started to become a "big thing" as not that many metal band from France become so popular worldwide. They truly represent our metal scene! To answer the question at the end of the video. I'd say I a metal fan first, I can listen to every subgenre and kind of band (from Nightwish to Black Sabbath, Bathory to Dimmu Borgir and Parkway Drive). But I also listen to a lot of classic music, sometimes a bit of country music, rock, blues and jazz, also I like listening to traditional music from around the world (be it Asia, South America, Africa, Easter Europe, ...etc.) Subbed to your channel guys!
The tree/head is the cover of their Enfant Sauvage album (wild child comes closest) they are a very ecology minded group from the South West of France between Bordeaux and Spain near the Atlantic coast. Art work is done by the drummer who is the guitarist/singer's brother. Gojira have come to be one of my most listened to Metal bands - Heavy but accessible. They started as Death Metal and moved toward more rhythmic groove metal some call it But they remain truly unique. I listen to pretty much anything from 70s rock and Beatles Led Zep Who, Motown, Funk, Folk, New Wave Jazz, from Miles to Fusion, Steve Coleman to most Metal genres. At 59 I've run through most everything now and Gojira are one of those bands that keep turning up in the headphones.

Initially the band was called Godzilla but due to copyright issues with the owners of the movie rights, they had to change the name and chose the Japanese word for Godzilla: Gojira. The Duplantier brothers are Portuguese-French-American: Portuguese mother born in the US and French father. Due to that, they have american nationality and they now live in NY, where they built their own studio, the Silver Cord Studio.
Gojira is one of my favorite band and i'm listening all kind of music , if you want something completely different you should listen to Bjork "Joga", or Jeff Buckley "Grace", both amazing

As a fan of these guys I’d also like to recommend Primus to you. They’re wonderfully weird but incredibly talented and groovy, and the best way of showing that would be through their live stuff. If you can, check out Tommy the Cat live at Bonnaroo 2011. Or, if you want to see a long drawn out jam of theirs watch Over the Electric Grapevine or American Life also at Bonnaroo 2011. P.S. Their bassist is the best bassist on the planet, free.
