For Indian culture, music, especially classical music, is meditative. So when artists perform on stage, people tend to sit still and listen - that's the respect they give the artists and the art form. Another thing is that we are used to such classical performances. That explains the lack of external reactions :)

Chithra didn't even started her career when Lataji held guinness w;orld record of singing most no. of songs(1974) and gave live performance in Royal Albert Hall(again 1974).
This stage performance of Chithraji was minute compared to what Lataji performed in Royal Albert Hall. Lata left everyone flabbergasted. Her first 3 lines filled whole hall with applauses.
Mind your words.... Lata Mangeshkar was an institution in herself.
Lataji got w;orld recognition in 70s along with Ashaji. Chithra is like student of Lata Mangeshkar. Only top class classical singer can know the level of goddess Lata Mangeshkar. She never ruined anyone's career intentionally. She was extremely talented by birth which is not her mistake.

It involves the improvisation of very rapid melodic passages using vowels, often the long "a" as in the word "far", and it targets at improvising and to expand weaving together the notes in a fast tempo.

I feel the reasons we don't react like that is because we've really grown up with it, it's everyday for us; while Ks chithra and sharreth are geniuses, India has soooo many people who're amazing, that we don't even bat an eyelid

In India, it is the love of people and the admiration of peers and senior maestros that makes someone revered as 'ustaad' or 'maestro'; instead of accolades any specific person or institute.

They are tuned and expecting that much from those talented singers and the audience are transported to that level of divinity almost meditating there. That’s Indian style

Music has no barriers of language or province. This is our great Indian Music brothers. It is eternally bliss. Here both Mr Sharethji & KS Chithraji are jewels in our music. Though you people can’t understand the meaning you are fully enjoying. That’s the magical power of music.

Beautifully composed and sung by two legends. @ Our stupid reactions actually it has been known for some Indian classical artists to stop performing if the audience gets too animated or vocal during performances! Experiencing Indian classical music is considered like being on a spiritual journey and to show your respect for the artist is to listen with rapt silence. The audience can then show their appreciation after the performance is over.

People from the south of India ie the audience here, they are know to be composed no puns. Emotions are contained. In an expressive world it can come across as cold.

In Kerala from our childhood we used to hear these guy's songs and performance. For sleeping and and wakeup from bed we hear those songs. Most of the audience in the video may hear this songs atleast 20 times, So each time While hearing the they won't react stupid like you, May be one time they do.
Now they all silently feel the song, because they may know the lyrics, they know the meaning of the songs, also they may know the visual of the songs etc. By hearing just the music please don't judge those audience, they know the singers very well.they booked the ticket for that show by expecting this only.😊
