I served with USNA officers, one Lt. SPENCE DRY, the last KIA Navy SEAL, was with me in BUDS training, every USNA Officer in that class of 56 helped me to be a better person. Seeing these young men and women give me great encouragement our USA. Lt. Dry, KIA Vietnam.
My son and I are working toward being in the Class of 2028. We have a long way to go and a short time to get there. Will apply for Summer Seminar in January.
As a navy veteran with one veteran son and 2 active duty marines I am very proud of these young men and women 👏 ❤ good luck and full speed ahead ...⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Moms, Dads and family as Plebe Summer winds down and the Academic year begins, buckle up and enjoy the ride! It will be bumpy at times, but trust that once your Midshipman starts this journey, 4 years will come to a close before you can blink! Remember; Blue & Gold and always...GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY!
Develop and demonstrate leadership. Good (great) academics - 1200+ SAT, get A's in the most challenging classes offered at your school. Be a varsity athlete, preferably a captain and recruited if possible.
I highly suggest not only actively participating in a number of extracurriculares, but make sure you enjoy and are passionate about those. Admissions would rather see a detailed essay about something you did because you like it over a long bullet pointed list of all the things you’re a member of.
I don't understand why the Navy students have to scream at the students coming in. I have my nephew Cj 💙 which is attending the Navy Academy ,I cry every day from the 30th of June until today, the 1st of August, I am praying for him to be strong and focus. He will be coming home sometime in August.
My nephew Cj 💙 is only 17yrs, he will be 18yrs In November 18.This year.I see young men age 26yrs, that are older than him.His mother tell me that he is ok.
@@sandracampbell7046 My Girlfriend is also the class of 26' and has been writing me. They are learning so much and becoming the new leaders of our military. Plebe Summer is an amazing experience and he will carry that for the rest of his life. Navy strong!
The screaming is simply a way to add pressure to the situation. It forces the Mids to focus and to respond correctly without hesitation. They get used to the yelling in no time. It isn't personal. In a real-life situation when there has to be a split-second decision made, good leaders will find a calm place within themselves and arrive at the correct decision, despite the utter chaos going on around them. JAS USNA Class of 1972.
@@politicsuncensored5617 I survived Plebe Summer in 1969 when there was no Air Conditioning and the temp/humidity was 100/100. Spent 34 years in the Navy. I can guarantee Plebe Summer in 1969 was far together than today's Summer Camp.
@@jimmurphy8804very disappointing that someone like you was aloud to represent our navy. Honor is the number one thing instilled in midshipmen and you clearly have none.

I got so emotional watching this. I'm new staff at USNA and I can't wait to give witness to the next leaders. GO NAVY! We are so proud of you.
Going to 26’s I day was my first day back on the yard since commissioning in 2019. The energy of The Academy is truly unique. What a special place.

Which is it, 1185 or 1187 in entering Class.
There were 1202 in my Class in 1961. Graduated 802 in 1965.
As a rising 9th Grader what are some good habits I should build and things like volunteering I should do? Should I worry should I not?
