Riders are so good against Cymanti, especially with roads. When you have enough roads, riders have 4 movement, as opposed to hexapod's 3 movement including the boost. You can kill their hexapods and escape with your riders intact. Riders also are great choices against centipedes too
I fully agree. That’s a great point about being able to hit hexapods with riders and then move farther than they can chase. I hadn’t thought of that. Roads are just a little tougher to get/build than before, but nothing crazy
I’d say he was mostly one shotting my units and escaping, but if I were him I’d have probably shifted to Doomux or bug-archers. Now that you mention it I guess he left them in attack range sometimes when he didn’t need to. Maybe he had more clouds than me; I did use like 3 explorers.
Speed is kinda both their strength and weakness. Blitzkrieg them first before they get access to philosophy or else they gonna come with a panzerdivision of boosted doomux
7:46 where is that song from? It sounds like a remix of "We Shall Sail Together" from sea of thieves edit: it also could be a remix of a drunken sailor too
It’s Drunken Sailor, but I looped it once to make it longer lol. Here’s the link to a copyright-safe version: ruclips.net/video/BEDbu4mzDAE/видео.htmlfeature=shared
Sure thing! I’ll have to think about it and try some things out since the update changed Polaris’s pace a bit. The next video is probably going to be more opening moves. I’m aiming for early next week.
Whats your ELO and the opponents ELO? The opponent seamed to be a newbie? Turn 13 centiped and gave up hexapods for free. Never tried warriors+archers against Cymanti, since early centiped can be a bit tough to deal with. But with riders and roads it is usually a comfortable win against Cymanti (can kill Centiped without loosing a single rider)
@@DrockTalk the problem with archers is that they are in range of boosted centiped (even unboosted). If you have riders and roads you can easily remove the boost from centiped without giving him a kill.
Definitely true. I like them as insurance against early game centipedes so that I can soften them up without damaging too many riders. Plus you can shoot out the segments even if they’re zone blocked by the head. All riders has its merits too, like saving stars on the tech and evading hexapods.
I’m at 1437 right now and I play 4 player matches like 80% of the time. I’ve played 401 matches on my main account. 2nd account is a negligible amount, probably less than 20. (I bought a 2nd copy on Steam so I could record on my PC).
Good point. I’d probably swap to roads and riders/knights if he went with exitas. It isn’t easy to buy new tech when you’re making so many units though, so who knows how that would have gone?

Lets be real, that was a terrible cymanti player. He gave you multiple hexapods when he didnt need to

Lol panzerdivision. Too right, rushing them is definitely the way.
Doomux is weak

@@DrockTalk nice! Love the poly videos, keep it up :)
Can u do how to beat Polaris?

My ELO was something like 1400 for this video. Riders work well; I’m partial to archers or catapults as well just mainly to prepare for centipedes.

What's your all time high ELO rating? How many matches have you played?

Ive heard cymanti is even more of a threat in the new update. Gotta love it when the meta is tweaked towards more imbalanced.
They’re definitely tough to play against, but they missed out on the new boats so in a lakes or continents map they might have a tough time
Advanced to say the least, this was awesome strategy !
Thanks! Glad you liked it
As a cymanti player this was a good counter but it kind of neglected poison and exita which could have demolished your push

Finally. Hate these guys
Glad I could help! They're more afraid of you than you are of them... maybe
