Tandav vs. Lasya
Shiva is known as the Lord of the Dance. He is known to have performed a Tandav which vigorously demonstrates the cycle of creation and destruction.
Lasya defines the grace and beauty of the Goddess Parvati who danced in response to Shiva's male energy.

Kathak is a classical dance form originating in Northern India based on Indian epics and Hindu mythology. Kathak, which means storytelling, incorporates intensive footwork with the drama of exhilarating, consecutive spins. The skill of the dancer lies in manipulating the sound of 100-150 brass bells (ghungroos) tied to each ankle to recreate the accompanying music both aurally and visually.
