Join Dr. Ajit Johal and The Canadian Association of Retired Persons for a webinar: Shingles: What you Need to Know.
What is your risk of developing shingles and how is it transmitted? How can you prevent this painful and even debilitating condition? What is CARP’s advocacy when it comes to shingles? This webinar will be hosted by Bill VanGorder, Chief Advocacy and Education Officer. After a presentation by Dr. Johal providing the latest information about shingles and older Canadians, webinar attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a Q&A.
Currently practicing in Vancouver, BC, Ajit Johal has been providing immunizations and clinical education since 2012. As a community pharmacist, he is an accessible provider of immunizations to patients in the community. In 2018, he started an organization called immunize.io, with a mission statement of "taking our best shot at immunizing the world." Through immunize.io he has worked with numerous organizations and communities to address vaccine hesitancy and improve vaccination access. Dr. Johal is also a clinical assistant professor for the University of British Columbia Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Program.
