  • In this video I'm going to try and work this Duramax by putting some weight behind it. So I loaded my 1975 Ford F150 on my trailer to have approximately 6500 lbs towing. With the weight of the truck and trailer will make the grand total weight of 12000 to 13000 lbs. With pulling some good grades on some mountains it should help to clean these injectors in this Duramax. Along with running some cleaner. If not I will probably replace the injectors. So Thank You for Watchin and Keep on Wrenchin.

I like your garage! I have the shelter logic 12x20 version barn style roof. Would love to have one that big so i could fit a truck in there.

-4 to plus 4 is in range bud ide be quick to change them out if they were close or if it keeps smoking. At least you are on it and monitoring it! Good that you checked the oil for fuel contamination 500 miles ago

Unfortunately I ended up changing them and were in since around 2008 and basically it was time. Thanks for watching and the comment

I kept an eye on it and it actually starting putting fuel into the oil. So I did change them. I didn't film it. But I do talk about it in this video: ruclips.net/video/qe7S3Sar98w/видео.html

I'm no expert in duramax's (im a ford guy) but I'm curious what makes you point to bad injectors? Some light smoke? I know those injectors have a bad reputation but unless I was getting a miss or some other more obvious symptom but don't know that I'd be so quick to spend a couple grand.

You are right on this but there is a lot of concern with the LB7s so I thought I would share what I'm doing. I want to thank you for your comment. I will let the poll continue on for a while before I make my final decision. I will also keep everyone up to date if any changes happen with the truck.

When I stop to think. It’s always better. I just seen a vidio you must look 👀 at fuel rail pressure. . Then seen another video saying only black smoke not white. And fuel getting in oil. They found it was fuel line leak. . They air tested it. . Two ways to do that. …. I cleared most my smoke by new air filter. I thought I changed. And did not lol. And get lift pump and new fuel filters. Cat filter? Also. Mabey air getting in by bleader valve where you pump up pressure for fuel. New pressure line orings. Still a big job. You must get new bolts for valve cover.? .. and if it is valves. . Lincoln diesel said injector pullers always pulls the cups out. Don’t do. Just twist left to right few times and pull out with fuel line screwed in. To pull. Getting new lines anyway if your doing injectors. So with cleaner first n fuel. N new air filter. N lift pump and new cat filter. First. K . I got the packege with lift pump. Included. I will need injectors someday. . Got before price went up. Take their loan thing and pay down fast. To save interest while it still on sale. . Lincoln said leave cups alone. Don’t pull out.? They Ben doing for 30 years? . Only twist . Without tool remember. N make sure no lift out. That’s where most mess up. . And just watch oil a lot of fuel gets in. Pay attention. . Like my water pump shop said. I seen vidio where stupid plate on transmission belhousing has a water plate that will leak. I got new metal gasket. I should have just made silicone my self.with paper n silicone. Lol I did it with only pulling heat sheald and starter. . One finger on bolt. And flat jagged stick to turn top nut in. . Lol keep nut in top with peice of stick or string to pull out once you get bolt inplace. You have to be a surgeon with patience to perform this . Without taking all the pipes off lol. Don’t drop bolt in big hole. Plate up and in place before pulling string out or piece of stick. . Could find another way to keep bolt inplace till you get plate in place. But I’m impatiant. If you drop bolt in hole. ??? I don’t know.?? Very bad. Baddy bad 😮. Research research. I’ve had macanics wrong many times. 😮
