The 900DSX is the fruit of the intense collaboration between the Loncin group, to which Voge belongs, and the best German engineering. Currently shown as £9000 on the road here in the uk on Moto GB site so we’re shafted on price already by around £1500 compared to Spain. What they need to watch is the APR offered on financing its rather high compared to some competitors making it not such the bargain it first seems if comparing monthly payments.

Prices have started to rise after the initial offers France now with the full luggage on Vogel FR is a whipping 12500 Euro
Germany still offering at 10800 Euro
Spain and Portugal till end of May for orders still 9700 Euro with the luggage.
Crazy price. It's a Shame all markets are not the same. The rate it has sold though it was inevitable the price would rise, the Euro 5 Himalayan 411 jumped up 1000 Euro or 20% after sales took off. Ride safe ✌️

Only issue here in the UK is lack of dealer network and dealers reluctance to take Chinese bikes in PX should you ever want to move it on. It's a shame as that's all that's stopping me putting a deposit down on one tomorrow.

The DSX is down tuned to meet A2 restrictions on a large bike. Large horse power bikes must meet 48 hp which has to be at maximum 50% of the original bikes horse power. The DSX at 95 HP fits the bill. The F900gs 105hp cannot be restricted because half of it's tuned HP is more than 48hp. Some random info for you. But they are the same unit ✌️

Yes compared to the F850gs and the 900 it's a no brainer especially with the spec it carries. It's not perfect, but the f850gs isn't also. What's the wait like in the UK. I see MotoGB are importing it. We have a main dealer network in Spain, but I'm sure you will get good after sale service in the UK. Keep a light dressing on the anodised wheels. Why a twin of a F850GSA? The actual BMW midweight adventure is the F900GS and there the adventure trim. Or is the model name in Spain 850 instead of 900?
Just curious because also another UK guy mentioned a F850 as twin to the Voge.

    • @motechRevolution
      @motechRevolution  4 месяца назад

A lot of the components are similar to the f850gs although the he engine is similar to engine and gearbox in the older f900r or the the f900xr. Info is very sketchy as all the engines are Loncin designed and built from a brief from BMW. The other probable answer is that the f900gsa and the VOGE share the same engine, but under agreement from BMW its limited to 95hp, although it could be to be in the A2 restricted max bhp. Whichever it is it sounds and rides like a BMW f850gs. The jury is still out. Thanks for your input. Ride safe ✌🏻

The new engine bore is 895cc the f850gs was 853cc so it's not an over clock, it's the same engine over bored to a higher capacity. BMW already had a different 900 engine bore in it's other f900r bikes for some time now. The 900 XR being the same 95hp as the voge 900DSX

Thank you Paul. Just found this Video.
Anyway i would not compare this bike to the BMW that much, we have not to defend ourselves.
For sure BMW made some regulations what to do or what not to do with the bike. Some stuff is just different so subjektive, some stuff is painfully like the 17 Liters tank limit. You also see that they "stretch" it optically, so my bike will maybe loose the crash bars and the front panels soon to make it more look like an Enduro 😅
BTW the travel suspension is, confirmed by the german importer, front 205mm and back 220mm. They talked about the european version and not only germany.
Drive save and thanks for all the fish 😅

I also think the German version may have taller suspension and seat height than ours, our seat height is stated at 825, whilst the German site states 850. Our suspension is also a bit lower that maybe the reason

The Ibex 800 sport model is comparable in price, both are good bikes it’s down to styling and preference and the 21 inch front wheel. If you want a more dual sport then the DSX more road adventure tourer the CF the base CF cannot match the DSX on spec it’s up there with the cf 800 explore. But then there is a huge price difference. The DSX is more than 50% a BMW f900GSA so it’s a personal thing. Which ever you choose it will serve you well. Here in Spain the CF 800 MT sport is losing value fast. Second hand DSX 900 are selling for more than new price because of the wait. CF moto have never had that or the sales here. Try both it should help

But that was last year. I prefer the styling on the VOGE, but the price was a no brainer for me. Another consideration is that VOGE is now number 3 in Spain by sales and the dealer network is extensive. CF Moto not so much, Thanks for the comments. ✌️

Most brands outsource manufacturing now Apple being the most well known. The engine, chassis etc are all German engineering, just produced in China. So Technically if BMW opened a manufacturing plant in China staffed by Chinese it would still be a BMW. Location for Build is not relevant. Just because German men and women don’t make and assemble it, doesn’t mean it’s inferior. The Chinese have some of the world’s best technology. That said a lot of people will now think much more about paying double just for a badge. The more I ride mine the more I’m blown away.
