@mrsportbike1989 Thanks. The wall is 8' x 10' so I made a grid in MS Excel 96 cells high x 120 cells wide (each cell represents a 1" x 1" pixel. Everything was mapped out on the Excel sheet and then all I had to do was draw 1" x 1" grids on the wall where the objects went. After that it was pretty much a paint by numbers kind of project.
The only place I used masking tape was for the black lines across the bottom - just so I could go faster without having to worry about staying in the lines. I just used a small foam brush for this.
I just used regular latex paint. For the larger areas (sky/ background) you'll need a larger can but for all the others I just got sample/ tester size cans.

Excellent work guys! Marvelous!
Such a great job!!!
This is awesome!
Well done. Wish I had had the tools to do a time-lapse video when I was painting my wall. Turned out great!
Beautiful!
Great job! Congratulations!!!
Super excellent job dude I would not have the patience.

Phenomenal
amazing
That is absolutely perfect, but you're missing part of marios sideburns!
Wow well done
It's impressive and all, but Mario is missing the sideburns.
This is sweet. I am planning on doing something like this to my backyard Privacy Fence. :D
Your mural looks great! How do you paint them so pixel perfect?
You so good drawer
Possible to have the grid measurements?
Nice! Did you mark on the wall with pencil and stencil them using masking tape? what tools you recommend to paint those?
I like how you used stop motion (kinda)
How did you scale the picture for the wall? Great work btw!
This is so cool
Omg how long does it takes o.o
I stenciled each pixel out beforehand. Basically you are just creating a grid of 1"x1" squares and then filling in the blanks.
Nice idea and technique, thanks for sharing, I will make a retro mural by my own.
Regan Shaw, that's a cool way of doing it!
this ic cool
It’s looks amazing, the only thing I’m annoyed about is that u missed the sideburned, it looks kinda weird, but overall, it was amazing, Great Job!
You did a great job but missed part of his sideburns! >.
Un re laburooo
Hey Regan, its me again, I'm finally about to start my fun mural painting. What kind of paint did you use?
I just used regular latex paint. For the larger areas (sky/ background) you'll need a larger can but for all the others I just got sample/ tester size cans.
***** It's so difficult to paint it perfectly with just sponge brush. In the end, I had to mask out parts of it before painting, tedious!
mario looks off
I'm so jelous xD
Más papás así en el mundo
M de pronto se ha ido al baño a todos los que están aquí
malib
why just not make wall stickers, would take less time to make/
The wall is 8' x 10'. The grid is 96" x 120".
