It's because Ronaldo had only scored 2 goals before moving to Saudi. Messi just won the world cup, and had a good season for PSG before moving to MLS. You can make the case that Ronaldo is no longer good, but you can't make that case with Messi. That's not media bias.

I think one of the reasons in what makes a league great is the worser teams, in the top 5, yh there's teams that dominate and destroy the rest, but it's competitive at the bottom with quality players. In Sa, the bottom teams are pub teams compared to everywhere else

I don't have respect for anybody that has more money than they can spend in a lifetime and doesn't make semi empathetic choices.
Good job he doesn’t give a crap about how much respect you have for him🤔
It is already better than mls. And the money is coming from people all over the world paying for the oil to be able to drive their cars. Dont see how thats any worse than where the money comes from in the USA.
And also, dont worry. He doesnt think much of you either.

No
those muslims in the desert? Sure.
Nah MLS has grown good youngsters the Saudi league is just buying superstars we’ll never see a Saudi grown player making the headlines
@@yannikakaprallithere were non Muslim players before Ronaldo even came are you that insecure about yourself?
Ronaldo is right! Not just in terms of football, but from a marketing standpoint I have to agree
I think Liverpool will win the league this coming season quite comfortably, you heard it here first
Incredible signings already and more to come while City are losing key players left right and centre with replacements in place, Liverpool have grown in strength of squad and are losing players that they want rid of and building again they will hit 90 pts minimum next season
As a Liverpool fan I hope you’re right although honestly I think Man City win the league by a mile
Lfc fan here and i think we will be good against weaker opponents but when it comes for big matches i think we might struggle little bit because of basically whole new midfield and it may take a while to form consistent unit and for players to understand Klopp's style of play. Idk if Fabinho is already out to sign in SA because i really dont follow news that much but we should keep him and play him at least for 1 more season so our midfield has a familiar "base" and its not completely new
Lol city have already won it we all now this CLEAR
90 minimum is quite one to watch as we haven't really seen how the new signings are going to perform...Probably we have taken out good players out of the market🔥✅
Idk where you getting this confidence from bro
Saudi football is much older than MLS
It date's back to the 1920's
People are reacting as if he is wrong, if you step out of Messi's biasness, he is absolutely right. The players are joining in Saudi league even if it is for money, the stadium are full of fans showing that people are involved and want the stars tio play. In the next 5 years people will realize how big of a deal it was for Ronaldo to sign for Saudi. MLS on the other hand has the same amount of money but the fans arent as excited as in Saudi.
It’s for the money. Let’s be real.
Nobody is right here. They're just opinions. In my opinion the same thing that happened to China, will happen to the Saudi league.
@@magicalhikari5859 it is no bet, but saying that Mls is better then Saudi still is outrageous
@@incognito4778Yeah. It’s just that more money is being tossed around here. This is the thing that makes me chuckle. The only real reason why ppl say Saudi is bigger than MLS is because they lure bigger players over. Ask yourself, if an MLS club and a Saudi club gave you the same amount of money in your contract. Where are you going to play? Where would you rather live? Yeah I though so… MLS is still much bigger. If they keep this up for 5-10 years, then yes you can make this argument.
Better players more quality simple. Im sure mls has the money they just dont care about football or should i say soccer😅

MLS would be better if it had Promotion/Relegation. The teams and players would be better and tougher and stronger with more quality. You become better when you are fighting for survival. There is no jeopardy in MLS, it is a very soft, easy, comfortable league and billionaire owners make profits even when their teams suck year after year.
I'm not sure I fully agree. Consistency and long term planning is very important as well. Being a yo-yo team doesn't do any good in terms of building a good team.
You're not wrong but that's only half of the problem. The NBA and NFL are super competitive yet there is no relegation.
Americans have no interest in football and I don't think that will ever change
It is a cup game Whats why no relegation 😂
1 - He’s not wrong necessarily, MLS is not as competitive, no relegation, more laid back.
2 - This has nothing to do with Messi, it’s Ronaldo selling the league, enticing people to watch it, enticing players to sign. He’s been doing that for the past 8 months, and it’s working.
I'd argue it's the wages that entice these players.

Isn't it kind of counter productive to draw conclusions on products you haven't even viewed yourself?... Watch both leagues and make up your mind for yourself. You can be objective, believe it or not, regardless of any preconceived biases just by actually having an open mind to both. You're already seeing guys nay say MLS and the Saudi league just based off who their favorite player is.. The question is what league is better top to bottom.. I think the next couple of years they will be direct competition in terms of viewership and quality, so considering that.. this is just the beginning of what's to come and how we should evaluate them going forward.
It is, it's far better. Denying that is just absurd.
The Dutch, Portuguese and even Russian leagues will have representatives in the Champions League. There is no mechanism for Saudi teams to prove if they are any good. No good competitions mean a league no one will care about.
The MLS is Miles ahead it's not even a conversation 😅..those guys Play with Construction workers no grass roots football, no talent exports.

To be fair, he has a spokesmanship role with Saudi too. He has to praise the league because it’s part of the deal. I doubt he believe anything he is saying lmao.
The mls doesnt have relegation, not competitive
Saudi league just got alot better for sure BUT the Miami is just in a better location for Messi’s family. It’s crazy bc if Ronaldo (38) goes to the MLS people call him washed. But Messi goes to the MLS (36) and it’s “good for him! He deserves it”. The media biased is crazy
It's because Ronaldo had only scored 2 goals before moving to Saudi. Messi just won the world cup, and had a good season for PSG before moving to MLS. You can make the case that Ronaldo is no longer good, but you can't make that case with Messi.
That's not media bias.
The Saudi league will never be popular in the USA market and that market is a major reason the EPL is the financial juggarnaut it is today.
Ronaldo vs Messi is happening even if both players are in different contintents. Watch Messi score a hattrick on his Inter Miami debut to shut Ronaldo up! In all seriousness Ronaldo is not wrong with what he said
He definitely isn't .
Pendu is wrong
Yeahh big names at going to Saudi however if you look at the development of MLS .. for example the US team and the young talent that coming through for the national team Saudi can’t compare to that.
no one said he was targetting messi , maybe he was reffering more to why he didnt go there . and he is right , saudi teams are known to often reach highest stages of asian competitions . what do MLS teams do in other hand ? they cant even dominate their own continent that is composed of 3 big countries and a bunch of micro states who love baseball

I think one of the reasons in what makes a league great is the worser teams, in the top 5, yh there's teams that dominate and destroy the rest, but it's competitive at the bottom with quality players. In Sa, the bottom teams are pub teams compared to everywhere else
True the Saudi league is 5 or 6 strong teams and the rest are pub level. But those 6 teams would beat any MLS team as they've shown in international tournaments beating Brazilian Flamengo and Mexican Guadalajara recently

Beating Guadalajara is not the biggest feat ever, Flamengo is a good achievement. Their top 3 teams would cause problems to MLS but the average level of the saudi league is lower than the MLS, the MLS is parity league 101 and all their teams are on similar levels, dont think the saudi league is like that.
