- Hope this helps anyone looking at buying one of these. Best amp I've ever had with so many great tones. There's plenty of mistakes in my playing here, some of the riffs I haven't played in years but I'm sure you'll get the idea.

It sound pretty close. I've never been able to get a LoG tone with my Mk IV, even using the same settings that Mark Morton uses. I think that it has to do a lot with the pickups.
Maybe the tubes he uses too..
Mic Choice too, album your hearing probably a mix between 2 mics
He also blends a mark 5 with a royal

Your sounding a bit rushed through a lot of those, but I understand how it is when you play the same music over and over. It's hard to keep your mind focused on keeping the right time, especially when your really just doing a medley of several different songs. The Mesa Boogie sounds awesome, especially on those AH's. I have a Mesa Boogie Mk.5 combo myself and I love it with all my heart and soul! Keep going, never give up! I have watched you evolve into a metal master, and I see your own style poking through ever more. Do you play in a band or have any desire to? Personally I don't really want to have to deal with all the bullshit drama that comes with that.

Hey Lambchopper, have you ever owned any older mark series amps like a 2C+, 3, or 4? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts about those amps compared to the mark 5 in terms of tight chugging tones. I have a mark 5:25 and I love it, but I hear demos of other mark series amps and they sound much meaner and often tighter.
I’m with you on that one, mine is the only mark series I’ve played. They’re rare in Aus

R0BO1 looks like a standard slanted Mesa 4x12 (they typically come with Celestion Vintage 30s).
A single 1x12 with V30's. Really nice cab and sounds great

Have you always had JH EMG's loaded in that Jackson? Do you prefer them over the stock pups? I thought they were pretty amazing. Sounds amazing either way.
I've had them in there about 18 months. They seem to suit it the most out of all I've tried. It came with Duncan sh1's which didn't work for me that well. The guitar is very bright and it needed something a little more aggressive and darker. Duncan sh6's were good but too harsh in the highs and too much low end in the chug. Sh4's were good, EMG 81's were good too. The het set seems to have what I want with a mixture between the sh4 and 81. I also have them really low in the body to have a slight more passive feel.
