Mo Chen’s RUclips channel has been incredibly helpful and informative. By following Mo’s advice, I was able to achieve a promotion at work in my data analyst role. His suggestion to focus on Excel, SQL, and Power BI (for my role) was a game-changer. I practiced these skills daily, which not only boosted my confidence but also improved my expertise significantly. I also learned how to use AI tools to assist with complex syntax, further enhancing my efficiency. A big thank you to Mo for creating such valuable content and sharing it with the community!
I started my journey to become a Data Analyst 3 years back and I confess to have committed each of these mistakes mentioned and even more. I gave up on it with the excuse of being a person from a Non technical background. But I kept updating myself with current trends and latest updates. Recently, I decided to give it another go and this time around will try to get into the muddy water instead of sitting ashore and watching the water slide past. I have started with MS Excel. Picked up a small personal project to avoid the initial overwhelm that comes along with huge data sets. Will keep these mistakes in mind and make sure I don't repeat them. Will probably find new mistakes to do instead.
How about creating a video explaining how to present a business use case? For example, in the hiring process, candidates are often given a business problem and asked to create a presentation to solve or analyze it. One example could be focusing on a topic like ‘manufacturing excellence.’
Thank you very much Mo Chen❤ You are my inspiration and with your help i have made a huge progress in SQL(my favourite since i was in my first job as electrician) and in Excel (also excited). Please help me how to overcome my fear NOT to succeed in my 2nd career because of my age... Who wants a 57 years old data analyst instead of a 35 years old for example? Thank you again for everything ❤️
Thank you for sharing! How about you combine your electrician experience with data analysis? Is there something you always struggled with or something that took up a lot of time when doing your electrician work? Calculating something, invoicing, etc? Maybe you could come up with processes and templates using your data analysis skills to help other electricians who don’t have any data analysis skills.
@mo-chen Thank you for your immediate response! My fears come because of my age... I don't know if someone wants to hire a 57 years old analyst... Do you know from your experience if there is any chance? I trust my skills and my knowledge... Thanks a lot!
Hi sir I am currently pursuing data analytics course but I always wanted to work with businesses closely and that's the reason I am inclining more towards business analyst profession. Will my experience in data analytics profession help me or give me an edge while switching to business analyst or will it be a void?
