More on the way for sure! Don't forget to check out my other videos. I have at least another 20 videos like this where I can do applicable, practical technical stuff!
I appreciate you being available to make educative videos like this. Unfortunately, as a beginner in power query, I strugged to keep up with you and had to pause every single minute because you were flying too fast for me.
I agree it’s kinda fast if you’re following step by step. Kinda more suited for someone with advanced excel skills. It’s easier to watch one round for understanding first before attempting to follow I think. Appreciate Mo’s efforts too!
Great video and very approachable to people that are familiar with excel. I love that power query is in PowerBI and excel so it’s an easy transition into visualization once you get comfortable with data cleaning
I was building a portfolio project on Excel and this video was very beneficial. Thankyou Mo! Plus whenever I need some motivation I watch your video and it works.
I found this video very helpful. Thank you very much for taking the time to share your knowledge in a way that is accessible. I hope you find it rewarding and fulfilling.
Amazing video as always ! But it would be certainly be great if you can make a full guide of power query like how do we can make the most out of power query for data cleaning
This has become my go-to video for data cleaning. Thank you so much I have a survey excel sheet that contains multiple survey questions ie Q1 - Q6 and these questions all have diff answers. I’ve been struggling with how to visualize my data. I’d appreciate your help with this. Also could I send you the excel file? I’m a newbie so pls bear with me Thank you very much
That's a great shortcut! I actually tend to use windows + shift + S to snip a certain area quickly. And yes, I like using point and click (with the mouse) in the videos because it's easier for the audience to follow.
It depends haha. Sometimes Excel, sometimes Power Query, sometimes Python, sometimes Tableau... It just depends on the use case and what's most efficient.
7:52 I tried replicating the exact 'If' syntax in the custom column and it is throwing "Error" in the new column. Can't seem to figure out the error. Help!
You've probably worked this out by now, but it may help someone else. I had this at first, then realised I had the IF in capitals. When I put if in lower case it solved the problem. I hope you are well!
I have a question please... When I open power query and load my data the green bars above column name not appear I tried to show them but I found two options in data view tab whitespace and monospaced how I show the other options ... I use excel 2019 All the best for you😊
Bro you are cold at data cleaning! You literally cleaned mounds of data in 25 mins. I’m trying to learn this in my accounting space. You mentioned data camp, is that the only place you learned this?
No, definitely not. I've been working with data ever since the beginning of my career (so 6+ years now). DataCamp is a great place to learn though. I actually created my own Ultimate Excel Projects that includes data cleaning. If you're interested, you can check it out on my website :)
I am working on cleaning the data on power query, but I got an error on a column where most of the data is numeric but at the end of the column some of the data is alphanumeric like: NME67897 the rest of the values are numeric like 18657898 how can I fix this error...?
your videos are helping me more than course with high fees, thank you for making me understand data concepts
I’m glad my free videos beat the courses you paid for!
More videos like these please! ( explaining what a data analyst actually does for each kind of work )

Hi Mo, loving these vids well explained and easy to follow along. Hope you do one on PowerBI next :)
I will for sure!
super easy to follow! Is there a reason you are not using Win + Ctrl + T for the snipping tool window? (I guess it's visually less confusing?)
That's a great shortcut! I actually tend to use windows + shift + S to snip a certain area quickly. And yes, I like using point and click (with the mouse) in the videos because it's easier for the audience to follow.
Love your content looking forward for more
Should we go this far in data cleaning for Power BI use case ? Thanks

What PC are you using?
Wouldn't the " min sal " column actually be 75k?
I have a question please... When I open power query and load my data the green bars above column name not appear I tried to show them but I found two options in data view tab whitespace and monospaced how I show the other options ... I use excel 2019
All the best for you😊
That might be a version issue then. I'm using the latest Microsoft apps for everything.
Did you use Excel on VM on your Mac or in a Windows PC?
I use Excel on my PC

Can you play guitar? You should be a rock star!
🤣
Too fast for beginners
He is fast but this is a goldmine. I can recommend watching Alex the analyst first as that's what I did and I think it was very easy to follow.
@@ruxcooking thanks
I watched with 0.5x playback speed and that's helpful. He's too fast for me too, but gotta pick his brain! 😁
