- We had the most amazing time on WAIHEKE ISLAND. If you're looking to do Waiheke Island a bit differently, we'd definitely recommend hiring e-bikes and doing the Five Bays Ride. Locals know best and we got the inside scoop.

Ebikes are the best!! We even shipped ours over from the UK when we did our 3 month sabbatical back in 2018!
We were so impressed with them, we totally want e-bikes now 😅
@@BeingBedingfield The ride along Tamaki Drive is excellent. I recommend going along until St Heliers Bay Rd and taking it - the huge uphill is nothing with ebikes - until you can turn off at Ashby Ave and follow that to Ashby Cafe for the best Pork, Camembert and Jalapeno pastry rolls in town. Haven't checked out their coffee.

fun fact i used to live on waiheke I lived at palm beach and at 9:17 there are some toilets down the road a bit and when i was a kid i got hit by a car there 😂😂😂 (I wasn't injured by the way)

Looks like an amazing trip 😁 just a few questions, were you recording on a tripod? And should we dress lightly because of the swim? 👍🏻
Highly recommend this trip :) We used our canon camera which was on a gorillla tripod, and when we were busy cycling we used our gopro. If you plan to swim, we'd suggest maybe taking a spare set of clothes, the ebikes have packs on them which will make it easy to carry extras with you :)
