Note the Sol-Ark 15 kW puts out 50A in off grid so you would need to couple it with a load shedding device for whole home backup. So the 200A passthrough allows you to connect to your whole home electrical panel, however essential loads panel or load shedding device is best practice.
Correct, some applications may need an essential loads panel or load shedding (or additional Sol-Ark inverters) to better manage loads or provide increased power output during grid down events. The 50A continuous output from the Sol-Ark 15k during a grid outage might not be enough for some to do whole home backup, but may be plenty for others. It all just depends on what loads/appliances you want to power when the grid goes down.
So during normal operation, could a 60kwh battery system power a whole house with the current specs of the inverter (Continuous AC Power from batteries 12,000W 50A-L ) with no solar?
@@OscarGonzalez-ct6no That really depends on the loads you plan to have at any given time. Ideally you would want x2 Sol-Ark 15ks running in parallel to avoid most manual load management activities. You can also look at pairing a single Sol-Ark 15K with the Sol-Ark smart loads panel to achieve the same or similar results without having to manually manage your loads.
If the grid is connected correctly then the Sol-Ark will use the solar and batteries to cover the majority or all of the loads, depending on the load from the panels. If the load is too high for the solar and panels to handle it, the Sol-Ark automatically just draws from the grid. I find that mine will draw from the grid when there are spikes in the load, like when the dryer is switched on and the EV is charging. It's all automatic. Sometimes there's a little flicker on the lights, but normally I just don't know it's happening. It helps to smooth out the loads, which I'm sure is extending the life of the batteries.

I just buy a sol ark 15 and 40 Solar penels by 525W total 21,900kW what do I do for my 15 k running how can I set up please give me advice thankfully
