Aiyima DAC-A6: surprisingly very good DAC

► The stationary USB DAC #Aiyima # DAC-A6 uses a full dedicated # DAC ESS ES9038Q2M, XMOS XU208 and a replaceable amplifier LME49720. The device supports music playback up to 768 kHz / 32 bit and DSD512. It is powered by a 12 volt 1.5 ampere pulse unit.
In total, the initially stationary DAC Aiyima DAC-A6 created a rather controversial opinion about itself. On the one hand, we have the most relevant hardware for today, even bluetooth here with support for AptX HD and LDAC codecs. Measurements, as they say, are my compliments. On the other hand, there is a complete lack of balanced outputs and it sounds out of the box well, obviously not for your money. I was even upset at first and thought to scold this DAC. However, interest overcame and I did start experimenting with opamp. This is why the DAC has not only become better, it has "revealed itself" to the fullest extent of this word. The music has become natural, lively and overly expressive. Listening to this is already much more pleasant. So much so that the DAC-A6 test has turned from a gray routine into a sheer pleasure. I would even compare it with Topping DX3 Pro + in terms of level, especially since they have a corresponding filling. What can I say, an unexpectedly very cool device - I'm happy. Especially appreciate how strings and wind instruments sound - it's a pure thrill.
