Hallo Jasper. TLDR: Rey rocks!
Cool video! I was the random Dutch top 4 Han2 blue player 🙂 really cool to hear your comments on the game, I really made some bad decisions on the 3rd game, but really happy that you won the PQ! really deserved it 🙂

Gratz on the win! Looking forward to trying out something similar myself. I took Han2 Blue to a PQ with quite a similar list (3 Redemptions and 3/1 on Luke/Windu and minus the Units that obviously don't work in a Han2 list like they do in Rey) but will be interesting to slot out the Leader and 5-6 cards and see how differently it plays. What do u think about lightsabers/force is with me.. feels like Rey need some support to work and live. Lightsabers on unbuffed yoda handle boba flip turn3. Rey for the win
Hey man congrats on the win! I've played Rey / Han2 since the beginning of the set 2 and I've switched to Han2 cause the 25 hp base was hard against aggro, and cheating units is awesome against bounce (bobba yellow/han yellow) and hard control but I had before that great results with Rey. I really have a hard time to know which one is better. How do you manage the bounce and cunning when you are playing so fair? Han2 is so strong for that with the k2 at 3 that avoid cunning and Poe at 4. The village protectors was mandatory for me in this machup against a good player. I found out too that Kreyt dragon is very slow in Rey, why 2 main decks? Just for the han2 machup? Even against hard control, I prefer to spam multiple boosted units.

Of course thats totally true. I just wanted to spice up the conversation and show that there are ways to win against a lot of them. My colleague which i faced in top 8 also won agaisnt every single boba player he faced
@@SWUDeckTechs i think its reasonable to assume that you & your colleague enjoy a higher level of skill and experience than most at the PQ level. I still think the matchup is around 50/50 maybe 60/40 but i could be wrong. Im also not sold that rey is better than Han blue as while it may be better against boba in particular, it is without question worse against the field as it currently stands.
@@rezzytheskyguy Which matchup do you think han blue is better against? OFC theres benefits to han blue but I think in general rey has more tools and ist as one dimensional as han blue is. Dont want to argue with you that my colleague and i are probably not a norm player. I just can say that im currently 26-2 with the deck in tournaments bigger than 40 participants and its a deck I think needs way more practice than some other alternatives. The final I also played against SIP whos also considered a really good player and I think i shloudl have beaten him 2-0 if i didnt misplay one turn in game 1 too hard. But thats the nice thing about TCGs its a mix of Deck choice, meta, skill and some luck involved.
@@SWUDeckTechs i appreciate your opinion for sure and im not going to say you're wrong with 100% conviction but as Rey Tarkintown is and has been your main deck for all of set 2, your opinion is understandably biased on this particular subject. You won a PQ with it, which is fantastic but the numbers still favor Han Blue at an almost 3:1 ratio at the moment with more top finishes and better win-rates. While Rey might be better against Boba Green, Han is much better against Double Yellow & Red boba, it much better into both the soft and hard control decks and has the option to race any deck in the game. While rey is favored in specific matchups, han is a better pick into a diverse field as it has the tools in both the early and late game to survive and finish games. Everything that rey does, han does a turn earlier with more impact on the board. Rey is extremely weak to the bounce cards out of yellow (every card except a small percentage in your deck gets bounced by cunning), Han plays 3 luke, 2 chewbacca, 1 mace, 2 krayt, 2 redemption and plays all of those things a turn earlier than rey can.
