Can't wait to watch the full video. But I can already say I agree with your first statement on the leader itself. For me it shines more as tempo than as control. I like this version but I have also played a full space deck during set 2. Without boba it may have a shot right now.
Love seeing Thrawn get some love, and you're right about Foresight working great with him. But you did miss ways to disrupt it. Other than drawing with Cad, you can disrupt it with Greedo (although you get to choose whether the 2 damage or card draw is better at the time) and Smuggle. Because Smuggle takes the top card of your deck as a resource, you won't know what the next card is anymore. Still definitely worth playing Bazine (for the ability to know what your opponent will draw) and Lom Pyke (because he's good), but if you Smuggle it will be anti-synergy
Hi there! I have been having a ton of fun with the updated list. I noticed that version had dropped Maklounkee but was still playing Mercenary Gunship. Without the underworld synergy, would it be better to play Inferno Four, particularly with Childsen? Thank you again, this deck is heaps of fun!
As much as I would like to play Han Green, I think Han Yellow is in a much better spot atm. Han Yellow was already more competitive in set 2, set 3 is only exacerbating that, yellow/white got a lot of great cards, while yellow/green got pretty much nothing.
Cool list. I was also very excited about thrawn when they spoiled foresight. I noticed that you removed ma klunkees from the list,… do you still want mercenary gunship? Inferno four or a sentinel in space seem to give you more value, no? Did you consider bossk? Seems like a great fit with 16 events.
Great video Pierre. Im a little confused about what you were saying about Lom Pyke. I think you're saying since card draw is counter productive to foresight you are rellying on smuggle for card advantage correct?
Stoked to try Thrawn this season. As a former MTG player it blew my mind that getting to look at your opponents top card every round for FREE wasn’t good. Let’s hope Thrawn sees some play. Also, say you don’t want to buy three vigilance, what would you replace it with? Lastly, too bad Chimaera still can’t get any love 😢
Does this deck actually have a shot to beat Sabine? Not just once in a while, but does this have a chance to be close to a 50/50 matchup with Sabine? Glad boba is gone but the Sabines will run rampant now, and expect a lot of old Han yellow as well.
As far as I have tested , yes this deck does well against sabine, it has tons of removal, tons of heal, excellent sentinel units and it can actually close game pretty fast once it is in control. Cad bane is for example an excellent satablizer and closer. The sideboard is also very well fit for aggro. if that's not enough, there are a lot of adjustment that can be made to improve the Mu even more.
After further testing against some of the best Sabine players out there, I can attest the MU is pretty balanced but I made some adjustment to improve the MU further you can check those out in the description.
Awesome thanks for the update bro, I really appreciate it. I’ve been trying out boba fett unit, but might try the magma guard. Also have Bounty Hunter crew in sideboard for control and love it. Thanks again for the insight. Big fan of Thrawn!
@@JohnSnow2332 Bounty Hunter crew is indeed amazing againt hard control , but I don't expect hard control to be a major contender in the upcoming meta.
@@Thorrk_THT I agree! Just my local meta had 20 people at our showdown last week and 4 Iden Blue decks. I don’t expect that to continue but if it does, bounty hunter crew is great in that matchup.
the deck is more midragne than hard control so entrench can backfire, if the meta developp with a lot of space I agree entrench could be a solid option to put on your own unit so I should give it a try
This deck needs some very different cards to be able to go against Jango, especially aggro Jango running Lurking TIE. I think the overrall deck has legs as more of a control deck, just needs to drop some of the lower cost units and add in removal events.
Asking for a control deck to be cheap AND good, 3 sets in is a tall order to say the least. Control decks are by nature always more expensive, because it needs expensive payoff which often are legendaries. Grevious is the only legendary in this deck that is not that imoportant and can be replaced by cards like death trooper toro or even perilous position

Didn’t expect to see a Thrawn video so early into set 3. Love this!
Thanks for this! Love thrawn

A lot of synergies in this deck with the leader power. That's nice !

Good point with the smuggle so gotta be careful all of those things are under your control.
Boba is better than Grievous bc you can tap opponent units. I love this deck! Thanks

Nice! When can we expect an updated Han Green list?? 👀

3 entrench maybe
Oh god, every card I hate in one deck, looks pretty strong though!

I'd love to play thrawn if it was a digital game but his ability on paper feels tedious. Im sure swift pilots will have a great time though.
I agree his ability is pretty tedious

agree the deck struggles against Jango red
I mean of course any deck with 15 legendaries is quite viable XD Jokes aside, i wish Thrawn was better ina a cheaper way 🥲
