My sister and I used to watch this all the time. All the classics: Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, Gilligan's Island, Silver Spoons etc...I miss these shows.
I still watch these old tv shows, facts of life, different strokes, alice, the Bionic women, give me a break, one day at a time ect. Some or on cozi and antenna tv cable channels
Jo was my hero when I was a teenager. I hadn’t seen girls like her on tv before. She liked cars, she liked sports, she was tough on the outside but she was secretly a big teddy bear. I liked cars and typical boyish activities and funnily enough I looked and dressed similarly to Jo: I had brown hair often in a ponytail and green eyes and I wore baggier clothes with motorcycle jackets. Jo helped me be confident in myself
As a kid, Tootie was my favorite character, but when I binged watched it as an adult, I came to appreciate Jo. Nancy McKeon's acting was and still is incredible.
@@josephclegg3562 The first season didn't do well. With so many characters, there would have been too many storylines to follow. so they decided to streamline the show and focus on a smaller group of girls.
Nancy McKeon. Acting and Gorgeous. Remember the red dress and Ballroom dance. WOW!!! Also watched the Division. They always take the good ones off and leave the garbage. Actually they still do that to this day. Most of what is on TV now is garbage.
The Facts of Life was & still my favorite of all shows! She is the best! I Loved Mrs. Garrett! I have so much in common with her in my personal life. RIP CHARLOTTE!
This show was so sweet, the chemistry between the cast members was amazing, they sure don’t make shows like that anymore, it’s hard for me to pick a favorite cast member, I loved them all.
Overall Nancy McKeon was my favorite in her role as Jo. I enjoy sitting back and rewatching the show again on rainy days. It still makes me laugh as I can relate to so many of the scenes.
This was my favorite show as a child even though the girls were all at least 9-10 years older than me. I’ve been healing my inner child with a total binge and I am about to start season 4 tonight. Hi was always my favorite with that motorcycle!❤
Blair? The one who advocated sex before marriage and mocked a girl who promoted traditional family values? Blair, who took Mrs. G. to a male strip show?
Absolutely loved this show! This is a very nice update on the cast. I only wish you had included Geri Jewell, who played Cousin Geri. She was great! 😁❤😊💖
Me being 45. I grew up on the show. I was in love with Jo and Blair. Nancy was beautiful. But then, so was Lisa. She might be the reason I love the name Lisa so much. I lived with one Lisa for 11 months 3 weeks. 1 day! lol Memories!
I had just graduated h.s. when this show came out. I could relate to it due to the fact I worked at a McDonalds in Hawaii. Across the street from that franchise was a Catholic all girl's school Sacred Hearts Academy. Like Eastland had Bates Academy (all boys) Sacred Hearts had St.Louis Crusaders 2 blocks away. Loved this show b/c it was spot on on how teen girls acted. Rest in Peace Charlotte and Cloris.
I also loved Jo. She was everything I wanted to be at the time: beautiful, athletic, strong, tall, slim... (I knew I was smart, so no envy there, lol!) She didn't look or act like the others, with her no-nonsense ponytail, very little makeup, and absence of giggling; taught me that maybe it's ok to be different. Way to go, Jo!
Blair and Jo, Yes, I had a serious crush on them! This is fun to watch, takes me back to when I was a kid. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and stay blessed! 👍🇺🇲✌
I cannot say that I had a favorite FoL character as they were all very endearing and lovable. Is there any wonder they all went on to lead successful careers.. One of my very favorite 80's sitcoms.
I've been on team Blair since I watched this as a kid. Had a huge crush on her. She is an absolutely lovely woman. It's nice to see that these young actors seemed to get away from hollywood into adulthood unscatched.
