Let’s go back to a simpler time. There’s nothing quite like taking a stroll down memory lane and reliving the shows that we so much looked forward to back in the day- today let’s revisit Little House on the Prairie. It was 1974 and America needed The Ingalls. The country was in the midst of a tiresome and controversial war in Vietnam, and a rustic cabin in the wilderness filled with a wholesome family was exactly what we needed.
    00:00 Intro
00:20 - Richard Bull as Nels Oleson
1:23- Katherine MacGregor as Harriet Oleson
2:30 - Jonathan Gilbert as Willie Oleson
3:20 - Alison Arngrim as Nelline Oleson
4:25 - Matthew Labyorteaux as Albert (Quinn) Ingalls
5:30 - Karen Grassle as Caroline Ingalls
6:36 - Michael Landon as Charles Ingalls
7:41 - Melissa Sue Anderson as Mary Ingalls
8:45 - Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush as Carrie Ingalls
9:52 - Dean Butler as Almanzo Wilder
10:59 - Melissa Gilbert as Laura Ingalls

Although the show followed the life and adventures of a family living on a farm in the late 1800s, the issues they dealt with are still relatable to viewers even today. The show became a big hit right off the bat and will certainly be remembered as one of the greatest shows of all time. The show was based on the best-selling series the Little House Books, which were actually semi-autobiographical, based on the author Laura Ingalls Wilder’s real-life family. Laura lived from 1867 to 1957 and is responsible for creating the book series that would pave the way for several on-screen adaptations.

My family thinks I’m cheesy for loving this show but it brings back so many great memories for me. It never gets old. I know that all things must come to an end but it could have gone on for another few more seasons for me. I still watch reruns every chance that I get and I just learned that there were many episodes in seasons 8 and 9 that I don’t even recall ever seeing.

I grew up watching this show and continued through my adult life. I am now 61 years old and I still watch the repeats if I find them . The Little House on the Prairie is one of the best shows on TV that ever was shown. Back then when decent programs were shown for the old and the young as well. It would be nice to see something like this again in this time now. There is too much violence shown now and too much indecent scenes on certain progrrams. Thank you "Little House On The Prairie for giving us such wonderful and amazing true life entertainment of all time.

The same here, except my Dad wasn't a workaholic. He, praise the LORD was home with us most evenings as well, usually by 4:00 rest a minute, eat supper, get ready for bed... in the mid to late 70s Mom and Dad shared reading the books to us at bedtime, along with other chapter books, where we would get a few chapters every night until the book was done of course. I was born in 71, and I say praise GOD as we lost my Dad in 87. But we always watched the same with both my parents and my Grandparents on my Dad's side EVERY Sunday!!! I have 1 older brother and 1 younger sister! I remember loving all 3 of the shows and missing them a lot when we no longer had them!!!!! I still enjoy anytime I can watch any of the series or movies we saw back then.

Yeah, imagine if our educational system of today taught the values of back then, instead of teaching kindergartners about sexual deviancy and coaxing kids to get gender changes . I know there are still good , quality teachers , but the unions are full of ideologically challenged lefties hell bent on polluting the children’s minds with liberal filth .

Best tv show of my youth. Watching with my family. I’ve seen every episode at least twice and will still occasionally watch. My own mother looks so similar to this day to Ma !!!❤️

HAVEN'T THEY!? I Was thinking that each one I saw. Esp Michael Landon... Taken too soon.
      He was handsome young,
even handsomer in pic with all that beautiful grey hair. He was always blessed with great hair!
How great to look so good with the grey! Not
a common thing; but those that do always seem to REALLY DO... 😜
