Tyler, Thanks for the lesson. I absolutely love your style of teaching. I have struggled with F360 since coming off of Inventor. After watching your videos, F360 now makes much more sense. At 71yo, this old dog is learning your new tricks. Thanks again.
Wow. What a clever exercise going back through the old Model Mania problems.
Great tutorial. Really appreciated showing the shortcut keys.
Thanks! Glad that helped!
Great video Tyler. I did all the Model Mania tasks some time ago and they are a great challenge. My process with this one was very similar to yours, except when I did the counter bore holes, I re-anchored the larger diameter hole to measure from the bottom face, made it simpler.
I spent decades working in 2D design world and knew my software packages inside and out. One of the ways I learned to become proficient was doing exercises like this, but obviously only in 2D.
I barely use fusion 360 but now that I am getting a 3D printer I intend to use it much more. I wish I knew of a list of great tutorials that went thru each of the tools, and the most common shapes etc.
It took me an hour to figure out how to build a proper tapered tube matching a curve for a front fork on a bike...
I'll have to look at more of your vids obviously
I like this type of challenge. You deliver a very comprehensive lesson. Thanks
Thanks for sharing, easy to follow your steps. 😉
Thank you!
For the counter bore hole, I would add the two circles to the sketch, cut out the complete circle (big and small) and then extrude (and add) just the outer ring. Seems much easier to me.
Totally. I think the hole tool gives you the reference sizes to pick from then you can modify it...But, whatever works for you!
Nah that is the long way around. I like how he did that. I actually made the hole wizard before the revolve cut. But I did run into the issues he mentioned vs the Solidworks video where this originated.
love your channel Thanks!
Great video. Thanks.
Would love to see more of this!
This one's was challenging to follow but interesting
Thanks for the fake on the hole wizard. I did this and had to take the long way around.
To get the counterbore depth after selecting the counter bore depth handle click the bottom face of the part then just subtract 4mm from the value in the depth box
i like this
Thank you - this is very helpful !!!! 👍👍😎👍👍
You're very welcome!
Fantastic video, thanks.
Thanks Bob!
Could the sound effects maybe be a bit louder? My eardrums are still working. Other than that, good video.
Hahaha. Got it. Will turn those down.
I have no adjacent faces option on the extrude to the surface and the extrude will not resolve!!! You simply need to reverse faces on the surface if the extrude to object does not resolve.
How do you put windows around a round dome.
I tried it and it gives me errors when I use one to make a circular pattern of 5 of the same original window.
The preview looks good, but as soon as I accept, gives me error.
Also, is there a way to draw a plain, tangent to a point on a curve body? I'm learning slowly but surely thanks to you.
We’re you able to build this?
Why can't you do all three fillets into one fillet command?
I would've extruded to the full height, then draw a triangular revolve and cut that part out, to get the slope.
Perfect.
Why are you laughing on the splash screen?
Dude…you need to revisit your phase 2…big mistake in there.
Oh Really! I believe it.... Can you give me a hint?
@@TechTylerBeck Hi Tyler, I think what he is referring to is the 'face to face' fillet towards the end.
You extruded a circle between the faces where it should have been an arc according to the drawing.
Thanks for another great tutorial, I learn the most from these exercises😀
@@TechTylerBeck Whoops sorry to be a dick. There is a super difficult arc/fillet to deal with on the outer most face in phase 2 that was missed.
Solidworks is way easier.
